D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

I would love the new warlock to be it's own 1/2 arcane caster class and still have the old warlock with pact magic with both supported.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

except going forward tasha's has been optional add on, and nothing in 4e essentials replaced anything in 4e PHB. the 2014phb is being replaced with 2024 phb edit: did the player options of 2e like the name said just give new options?

D&D 5E (2024) How would you change skills in 5.5e

I know this is a TSR era joke, but it could work... "Save vs spell, Save vs Breath Weapon and Save vs knock around" all sound desent, but I will raise you mixing 3e and 4e... have no AC, but a Reflex defense, a Toughness Defense, and a Mental Defense BUT also have a Fort Save and a Will Save.

D&D 5E (2024) Ideas for Advanced Masteries that "cost" multiple attacks

this sounds like a great idea... maybe add in something like "Knock out" roll xd6 if it is over the total current hp the creature falls unconscious Mountain Hammer- if you have more then 1 attack you can give up extra attacks to add 2d6 per attack given up, either way this attack ignore resist...

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

if these had been add on classes not remade classes and most of the feats were new feats not remade feats and the condition changes and spell changes were called out as optional and it wasn't call PHB/DMG/MM I at least would feel less likely to call it a new edition. that is my point, and one I...

D&D 5E (2024) What would change for you if Wizards started calling it 6E?

IN my fantasy world they would have called it 6e with more 4e influence but then say that they are keeping the monsters levels (instead of CR throw that out) close enough that all the 5e adventures will work with just taking the DCs and the monster stats from the new books.

D&D 5E (2024) What would change for you if Wizards started calling it 6E?

my understanding is that your experience is common but not universal, in general each edition has outsold the one before it. With info coming out about TSR era that was not always true, but my limited knowledge is that 3e did outsell 2e (but maybe not 1e). In general the hobby has been...

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

thank you, it never occurred to me that someone could be blocked and still see a response. In this case I kind of understand why you blocked them, but I do feel that is a weird way for the blocking to work. thank you again for clarifying this.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

no, I responded to someone talking about IT and said I don't know anything about IT and then continued to tell a joke a friend always tells. YOU then went into bully mode to pretend that my response was creating something whole cloth out of nothing. okay, since I am not talking software so...

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

is your point that we are all guessing based on limited info? is it that you have an issue with me responding to talk about IT by bringing up IT in a limited point? nope infact I said "I don't know IT" so not what I am looking at. I didn't say that. yup... did someone claim they were the...

D&D 5E (2024) What would change for you if Wizards started calling it 6E?

yes, the fact that they are about to split the fan base with 2024 and 2014 rules is it though? didn't they sell more 4e books then 3e? in and of itself the 'always going up' is a great argument for going to come down.

D&D 5E (2024) What would change for you if Wizards started calling it 6E?

I see no reason that ANY edition would not have done the same.

D&D 5E (2024) Jeremy Crawford: “We are releasing new editions of the books”

they could put out "5e Anniversary Add on" book that is 10 years of 5e and 50 of D&D. They could have a bunch of new classes and the new optional species/background system and say "like tasha's this is all just optional" then even reprint the PHB with minor errata and art updates and that would...
