TSR Am I The Only One Buying Up the DMs Guild Reprints?

Huh! I would have thought Isle of Dread would already be available. 🤔. I never looked into it as I have the original one. I filled out my b-series modules with pod copies. Now to run groups through them!

TSR Am I The Only One Buying Up the DMs Guild Reprints?

I grabbed a hardcover pod of Night Below earlier this year… it’s a beast!

TSR Am I The Only One Buying Up the DMs Guild Reprints?

I too have been buying a bunch of PoD reprints from Drive Thru RPG... but nothing at the scale you're demonstrating...

'Horns' eh? What do they think I am, a Tiefling? What do you all think - should I make this my promo picture for my channel?

D&D 5E (2014) your fist level wizard has used their 2 spells. Now What?

Back in my day, a first level magic user got ONE spell, and it was fixed, none of this spell-slot-free-choice nonsense! And there were no unlimited-use cantrips that did damage, when our magic was done we had daggers, consarnit! This was before magic-users could use staffs even. Yes, I said...

D&D 5E (2014) Recommend an adventure (difficulty level: minimal prep)

I haven't run it yet but have read through it, and am looking forward to it when it does happen. I have read some negative reviews about it for various reasons, but I don't see what the hate is about. I think it's potentially great sandbox setting, and there's no need to rush into the big...

    D&D 5E (2014) Spells you house rule?

The only spell I (currently) houserule is Witch Bolt. The inititial strike is btb, but I treat the subsequent damage as escalating. Each round a caster sustains the witch bolt increases the damage by d8, starting with 1d12 and going up to a maximum # of dice equal to the original output of the...

What did you study in college?

I minored in a 90 minute bus ride to a 7:30 am class, where I majored in sleeping though said class, with extra credit in being groggy through other classes... until I had a 90+ minute bus ride to work at a Video Game retail store where I practiced the art of trying to get some homework done...

    Hello McFly???

I run 4 games, and play in one. 3 of the 4 I run are in-person. The one I'm in is online (currently). So 60% of my games are in person.

OSR I never should have picked up Old School Essentials…

I championed 2.5 for years (decades!). When I was first introduced to it I loved the variability and options, and still do to a degree. Combat and Tactics is a great sourcebook that cleans up 2nd Ed combat beautifully. I almost ported it back to 1e, but decided I'd rather parse out 1e...

D&D 5E (2014) Recommend an adventure (difficulty level: minimal prep)

Without knowing you or your particular play style it's really hard to judge... what I feel is a ready to run scenario that requires no alteration might very well be something you'd feel the need to overhaul. That said, I would consider some old-school updates like Goodman Games OAR line...

OSR I never should have picked up Old School Essentials…

Yeah, have already informed my players it will be an option and jotted down a reasonable metric for it. Almost everyone has made a magic user of one of their stable of 3 characters, and at least 2 players are leaning to starting with the MU. Should be an interesting one. Following the AD&D...

OSR I never should have picked up Old School Essentials…

Certainly encouraging. Will decide soon enough once I get the books. I am starting a brand new OSE game this Friday to add to my list of games. This group should be interesting - 2 brand new to RPGs, 2 old hat who favour B/X, plus a casual player who just loves the role playing aspect and...

    D&D 5E (2014) Flumph PC race experiment

You forgot their most important attribute according to The Order of the Stick - they provide a convenient cushion for random falling adventurers...
