D&D General Crochet, Coloring, & Journals: Upcoming D&D Books from Ten Speed Press

Yeah, it's easy for us to heckle, but there's totally an audience for this. This will be big with the Etsy/crafty side of the hobby.

What Lost, Abandoned or Short Lived TTRPG would you like to see get a re-issue and new support?

Here's one: Shatterzone, West End Games's answer to losing the Star Wars license. Really intense, gritty, of-its-time sci-fi setting that used the MasterBook system. Precis Intermedia has the rights and have reprinted most of the old supplements. Ripe for an update.

What Lost, Abandoned or Short Lived TTRPG would you like to see get a re-issue and new support?

Thanks for the supplement and clarification. I looked it up after I posted and things do appear pretty quiet on their publishing front, though there is a dust-gathering claim about a fourth edition and one new book up on DTRPG (the one I was trying to think of when I posted). Horrors of the...

What Lost, Abandoned or Short Lived TTRPG would you like to see get a re-issue and new support?

As someone else noted, it's complicated, but the nutshell, off-the-top-of-my-head-without-googling explanation is that the most recent edition's licensee, a company run by Matt McFarland and his wife, were humming along with a modest line of supplements for their own edition when some credible...

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

I live elsewhere in Wisconsin, 1-2 hours away, and I can't believe someone would pay that much for that dumpy little house, even factoring in historical value and "nice resort town" property values.

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

Just for my own reference and accessing dusty memories, that's Arilyn Moonblade, right?

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

Really? I thought those were the best the covers and graphic design have ever looked (and I'm not even that into 3e). They were a neat unifying design element and you could read them in public without normies going "What the hell is that?"

D&D's October Product Revealed to Be Stranger Things Tie-In

Looks good to me, too. Looks like they skipped over the idea of doing a mini for this one in favor of retro cardboard standees, which is probably for the best considering the gumball-machine quality of the old Stranger Things set's demogorgon.

WizKids to Release Adult Blue Dragon Figure Based on Dragon Delves

WizKids will almost certainly not miss an opportunity to produce another dragon mini to sell. We'll see an adult version.

Dark Horse Reveals First Dungeons & Dragons Comic

Here's a link to the press release from Dark Horse's own site, with some more on what it's about, some thoughts from the creators, and the alternate cover art (looks like four--count 'em, four--variants besides the regular cover). RETURN TO THE FORGOTTEN REALMS IN "DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: THE...

    D&D 5E (2024) What's Your 2026 WotC D&D Wishlist?

If you've seen Eye of the Beholder, they talk about this and how they only recovered so much original art from the dumpsters through dumb luck. I can't fathom the level of thinking that led to such a thing. (But we're thoroughly off topic now...)

    Dragonlance novels humble bundle

I just read Weasel's Luck over the summer, since it's one of three Dragonlance novels that inexplicably still exist in my small-town library (the others are Legends, Book One and... Three). I found it quite clever, and Weasel had a very strong voice that the author quite clearly relished writing...

    Gamehole Con 2025 Thread

I wasn't able to be there when rooms were (supposed to go) on sale, but the group I usually go with had no luck, thanks to the early snafu. GHC Discord is full of understandably irate and disappointed people who are now left scrambling. GHC says it's Visit Madison's fault and they're in touch...

    D&D 5E (2024) What's In D&D's New Starter Set?

I ran a comic book store myself for a number of years, and this jibes with my experience, as well. On Free Comic Book Day, we would separate out the kid-oriented stuff and put it to one side; this was for the parents' benefit, since FCBD releases are confusing enough as it is without parents...

Who’s your vote for the next James Bond?

I prefer the strategy of picking someone kind-of-well-known-but-not-really-oh-right-he-was-in-that-thing famous, rather than famous famous, which would be in line with earlier casting. This makes me hesitant to throw out any specific names. Much of it depends on what "kind" of Bond they want...

Dungeons & Dragons Dumps Disclaimers From Book Credits Page

This discussion reminds me of how The Simpsons writers would regularly lament that the gags with the least amount of payoff (the opening "couch gag" and chalkboard joke and, to a lesser extent, Bart's prank phone calls) required the most amount of effort. The team of writers would sometimes sit...

A Call to Join Organized Play at PaizoCon Online and New Releases from Paizo

I think they've done it once since the pandemic and wound up with a COVID-19 breakout, so they switched it to virtual the following year and haven't resumed in-person since. I wonder if cost effectiveness is also a factor.
