GameHole Con Hints At An "As Yet Unannounced Setting" for D&D This Year

Ah, I see, my old foe, Facebook! No wonder I didn't know. I seem to remember Omaha being well-represented at last year's GHC (hell, you and I probably interacted at some point). I'm all signed up now (again), at any rate.

GameHole Con Hints At An "As Yet Unannounced Setting" for D&D This Year

I DMed AL at last year's Gamehole Con, but this is the first I'm hearing about this. Should I have gotten an email?

I'll plug for the Troll Lord Games guys and point out that their Codex Egyptium KS (Egyptian mythology for fantasy games, plus an apparently extensive rework of their old Codex Celtarum volume) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/676918054/castles-and-crusades-codex-aegyptus ends in 5 days and...

What Are These D&D 5E Notes In Monte Cook Games' Numenera Shipments?

Yup, my money's on something in the vein of Adventures in Middle-Earth. Adventures in the Ninth World!

The Mountain Goats Announces Dungeons & Dragons-Inspired Album

This makes sense, as Darnielle has always had pretty strong nerd tendencies ("Lovecraft in Brooklyn," anyone?). They haven't done an outright D&D album yet, but the band Thee Oh Sees has albums called Orc and Carrion Crawler; they're extremely prolific, so I'm convinced they'll eventually just...

If these things are just going to get reported as regular news items, would a name change even be necessary if there's no column to name?

News Digest: Critical Role Leaving Geek & Sundry, Origins Award Winners, Pathfinder 2nd Ed Previews,

So is GF9 going in a different direction with their D&D games? This one seems more streamlined and doesn't come in the multiple versions (painted/unpainted) like the last few.

It's FREE RPG DAY, So Head To Your Local Game Store Today!

Can I use this space to vent a little about my Free RPG Day experience? My local store, where I'm a know-my-face-but-not-my-name regular, wasn't listed as participating on the Free RPG Day website. Several other stores, much further away from me, were listed, but I thought I'd swing by anyway...

The Next Dungeons & Dragons Storyline Will Be...

For those who care about such things, there's a product page up now for a Dragon Heist-themed dice set (similar to what they did for Tomb of Annihilation). It comes with a hit point tracker and the standard array of dice, including an extra d20 (which, based on the photo, is huge for some...

The Next Dungeons & Dragons Storyline Will Be...

I bet you're right. Both the titling convention ("Waterdeep: _______") and the logo treatment on the cover suggest it would be part of a series.

Pathfinder 2 Playtest Preorders, Podcasts, & "Pathfinder 1.5"

Me, too. The collector in me was like, "LIMITED HARDCOVER! GO GO GO GO GO!!!" but then the rest of my brain kicked in and said, "Dude: it's a playtest," and I knew I couldn't really justify it to myself.
