    D&D 5E (2014) New Dragon+ (issue 12)

Having two different articles about the cat person on the cover (three, actually, if you're counting the editor's letter) is a little strange.

News Digest: Star Trek Playtest Open, Official My Little Pony RPG, No Man's Sky Investigation, Steve

With all those Star Trek novelists on board, I wonder if they approached Peter David to write for the game. Man certainly has enough ideas forTrek stories.

    Flying Buffalo's Legacy - Part 2: Tunnels & Trolls

That stuck out as strange to me, too; I'm surprised an editor didn't question his word choice there, or at least ask Peterson to elaborate. EDIT: Peterson quoting St. Andre, as pointed out. In the context of the book, does Peterson follow up on St. Andre's comment?

(ENN) Golden Goblin Press License Cthulhu Invictus from Chaosium

Good news! Golden Goblin has been really upping their game (so to speak) lately. Chaosium gets to revive a largely unsupported setting without having to lose focus on main line stuff they're developing in-house; everybody wins. Well, I've been looking for an excuse to pick up De Horrore...

    Minsc & Boo In Ravenloft?

IDW's D&D comics have been very hit (the Fell's Five stuff--why did that vanish?) or miss (that virtually unreadable miniseries Greenwood wrote), but Zub's pretty solid and well within his comfort zone here. I hope they include people/places/events from the comic as game material in the back of...

What's an OGL? An SRD? What's OGC? A Quick Primer!

This was pretty handy, especially as someone who's not exactly a casual gamer, but not really hardcore enough to have followed everything over the years. Thanks.

Your most anticipated games of 2016?

Having backed the Kickstarter for it, I'm interested in the final product of Witch: Fated Souls.

Explore New Fey Options For 5E & Pathfinder With THE FAERIE RING

Meta question: How do you decide which Kickstarters to feature, and which to leave in the Press Releases sidebar?

How do they handle the copy protection issue?

    D&D 5E (2014) PotA Worth Buying?

Just read through this--a nice review. I own but haven't read Princes of the Apocalypse, as I'm currently playing through it in the Adventurers League, but I thought you were thorough and pretty even-handed in your approach to the material. Nice job.

    DRAGON+ #2

2 out of 5 rating for DRAGON+ #2 This second issue of Dragon+ is light on content for actual tabletop gamers, though it's somewhat justified by the video game theme. "Where It All Started: D&D Video Games" is interesting from a historical perspective (especially as a fan of the "Gold Box"...

    Torg Eternity Coming in 2016

Loved it growing up, even if (or because?) all my Orrorshan characters had a tendency to die horribly. Looking forward to seeing what they do with it (hopefully addressing some of the problems that killed it the first time around).

A Fantasy RPG Themed Bar on Kickstarter

Ooh, that's good! This way they get to stick with "D&D," though.

THE ONE RING Takes The Top Spot!

Just last week I blind-ordered Yggdrasill from my LGS! I might have to track down other C7 stuff if it's as high quality as people seem to think.

Lone Wolf Prepping to bring D&D 5th Edition to HEROLAB!

The Lone Wolf guys do good work, so I can only view this as a good thing.

    D&D 5E (2014) Tyranny of Dragons: Online Comic #1

I found it a little difficult to read in-browser, but it was a nice little teaser. I was never much into Baldeon's art but it looks pretty good there; the colors help. I hope they eventually put it into print when it's all wrapped up (maybe as added content in one of the IDW paperback collections?).

    Breaking free of eTools reliance

As the, uh, authority on this subject here, clearly we must... do... the thing... which I will explain... now. ... You see-- <suddenly jumps out window>

    Computerized DM aids

Vista's been surprisingly kind to me and mine so far. Mainly using Hero Lab for pretty much all my character needs and DM stuff to boot. I agree that access to the SRD is *very* handy on a laptop: here's probably the best one.

    1 PC Adventure Paths

I'll second this recommendation. Running the "Wizard's Challenge" back when it was, you know, current is one of my better gaming memories from back then. If the others in the "_______ Challenge" series are as good it's worth looking into.
