D&D General Mike Mearls' blog post about RPG generations

not sure where you are seeing that, 5e is basically the rear guard of the 4th gen games, not the advance team of the 5th gen

D&D General Mike Mearls' blog post about RPG generations

it does not need to be a refinement to go in the same general direction, 5e is also still 4th gen in his classification

D&D General Mike Mearls' blog post about RPG generations

it definitely would not go anywhere near as far as SD. I guess it would stay more around the 3/4 mark towards 5e than in the middle I wonder where Mearls’ game will fall on that spectrum

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

something that doesn’t look like a poorly rendered mockup for a mobile game As someone pointed out, the SCAG cover looks much better

D&D General Mike Mearls' blog post about RPG generations

I assume he left it in 4th gen because it fits nicely from a ‘many character options’ perspective and the rest is too complex for a 5th gen game, even if it was easier to run than 3e (which is also 4th gen)

D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

The next 'book' on the release schedule is the starter set, I don't think they will focus on advertising the one after that before the starter set is released

D&D General [Legendary Games] Legendary Planet, Anniversary 5E Mega-Bundles, and The Dragon’s Hoard!

it supports it as much as D&D 2014 and 2024 do, so either this should not be aimed at 5e, or ToV is just fine (and I assume so is Level Up…)

Eberron: Forge of the Artificer Delayed Until December

Isn't that what happened with the Deck of Many Things? While they released both, the print issues resulted in the digital one being the only one available for months

D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

where does this say anything about the October book? All it says is that the Eberron one is delayed, and that was to be released in a month

Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set Price Point Revealed

I assume they did, but who knows. In either case it is a strong indication that they did not sell. That Amazon still has some just means they had them in stock already, instead of also ending up at Ollies. If anything it shows that they are not selling that well given that they still have them...

    Freeport Read Order

Given the level progression, this seems to be the correct order Death in Freeport 1-3 Terror in Freeport 2-5 Madness in Freeport 4-6 Vengenace in Freeport 6-7 Crisis in Freeport 7-9 Crisis in Freeport says "Welcome to Crisis in Freeport, the seventh in Green...

Heroes of the Borderlands Starter Set Price Point Revealed

if you dump loads of them for $2.99 at Ollies, I'd say it does explain things, regardless of whether some of them are available elsewhere for $40. If they didn't massively overproduce inventory / overestimate demand, they would not be dumped at Ollies

A Deep Dive in D&D: Dragon Delves

it gives a basic idea about how the NPC should behave, more would be better, but not even having that… that is not an excuse, they are all published by WotC and they should have some quality control steps that ensure things are written in a certain way. It’s not like all spells / monsters are...
