    Polymorph transformation

As mentioned, Polymorph is restricted to Beasts. Your best form at level 7 is normally the Giant Ape.

D&D 5E (2014) Is Xanathars The New UA? AKA A Munchkins Book

I would agree it could be seen either way. You are 100% right about Thunder Step though, I forgot that had the same requirement as Misty Step. It is, though as I mention, I don't think it's something that is a frequent asset of opponents. Also note that as Dispel magic isn't a ritual, you are...

    Advice: Overpowered Abilities

It's still healing 1d6 per character per round though right? That's pretty good, but considering that the caster is maintaining concentration and (I assume) using bonus actions to move it around, that doesn't seem like something that would wreck your game. I would be tempted to just let it go...

Mind Flayers, Flumphs, and Owlbears Feature In This D&D Colouring Book

Recently was organizing the basement and found my 1e books. Here's my Deities and Demigods: And yes, inside was my coloring book I notice that my attention to detail continued to slip the further into the book you got. My art skills have NOT improved.

D&D 5E (2014) Is Xanathars The New UA? AKA A Munchkins Book

Why would I forget that? You could also dimension door or Thunderstep inside, or use an antimagic field. That said, the protection that a Leomund's Tiny Hut provides considering it is a 3rd level ritual is next level. Everytime a DM encounters it for the first time, it's always the same...

D&D 5E (2014) Is Xanathars The New UA? AKA A Munchkins Book

Envy me too then, as my group has not figured out a way for any wandering monster, to, at a bare minimum, screw up your rest. Until you have a Leomund's Hut. That changes things dramatically. Level 5 is a game-changer in so many ways.

D&D 5E (2014) Is Xanathars The New UA? AKA A Munchkins Book

Excessive Literalism isn't the problem methinks. Nothing changes about the usefulness of the spell. This isn't a boardgame. It's OK to make up descriptions for things that aren't given descriptions in the rules. That's how roleplaying works. The difference is insane. It's like comparing...

D&D 5E (2014) Is Xanathars The New UA? AKA A Munchkins Book

Minus Wall of force contained high CR swarms. I think you might be over thinking it. The spell says the window looks through the extradimensional space. It would be centered on the rope because the rope goes through that space when the spell is cast. There is nothing in the description that...

D&D 5E (2014) Lore Bard Debuffer: Spell Selection and Choice of Dip

I see. This is an interesting idea! So you're saying you could play an arcane caster cautiously, by hanging back, and taking defensive positioning. Have to admit, I've never really considered that. Well, I usually play the party fighter, but if I ever play an arcane caster, I'll give that a...

D&D 5E (2014) Lore Bard Debuffer: Spell Selection and Choice of Dip

If that's the way it came out, then I overstated. I'm saying a Valor Bard is not a significantly worse caster than a Lore Bard, but has superior defense and use of inspiration, making them the better choice overall. Yes. Here's the situation. As a (single classed) Lore Bard, you have...

D&D 5E (2014) Lore Bard Debuffer: Spell Selection and Choice of Dip

Aywhere between 0 and 6 depending on the opponent, whether they target casters, and how many attacks per round they get ? Lore bards wear light armor, use no shield, focus on Cha, have no other defenses, have no spells that improve AC, they will be hit a LOT. However, as a player, you don't...

D&D 5E (2014) Lore Bard Debuffer: Spell Selection and Choice of Dip

It's inspiration. It always helps others. In fact, the main advantage of cutting words is it can also help yourself. Combat inspiration, the ability I compare it to, helps others. In fact, it only helps others. It also objectively helps others to a greater degree than cutting words...

Putting together an archery build, could use some advice

Honestly, Fighter 20 ends up being a better archer than any multiclass if that's your goal. However, a fighter/rogue multiclass should be an effective archer from 1 through 20 If you do want to multiclass with rogue, yes, 1 level of rogue to start grabs you an extra skill over taking it...

D&D 5E (2014) Lore Bard Debuffer: Spell Selection and Choice of Dip

Here's an important thing to understand. As I guide writer, I can attest that you need to review things you've never played. You read, you evaluate, you write. Therefore, there is a very good reason why the guides rank Lore Bards higher, because it reads better. Once a guide is out for...
