    D&D 5E (2024) Modest Ranger Fix

Ditto for the 2014 Ranger. Too many of the spells for the 2014 Ranger require concentration. If they weren't required to concentrate on a particular Ranger spell, would they become a bit OP? I am sort of glad that the 2024 Ranger lifted concentration for some of the Ranger spells. But I don't...

3PP Release New release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 1: The Core Four

Can we suggest class concepts for future single class synergies? ;)

    D&D 5E (2024) Modest Ranger Fix

True. How does one play their Ranger character during an adventure? With my Bugbear Ranger character, for instance, he's always the one scouting ahead of his party for any potential trouble. He uses his nature and survival skills to rustle up additional supplies for his party while they are out...

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

About time some other setting other than the Forgotten Realms got a chance to be the default. ;) I hope we get to see the 2024 version of the Warforged in the upcoming book.

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

On some level, it would be amusing and interesting to see what WoTC borrowed from other TTRPGs and vice versa.

In 3e's Unearthed Arcana, there were the basic classes of Adept, Expert and Warrior.

    D&D 5E (2024) Modest Ranger Fix

A couple months ago the DnD Shorts Guy came out with a video on YouTube where he made some of his fixes to the 2024 Ranger. He even mentioned Laser Llama's 2022 take on the Ranger class at the end of the clip. 😲

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

Some of it can even be constructive if you are a homebrewer looking to improve something that should have been improved by WoTC a long time ago.

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

From Paizo's point of view, 4e did a good thing for them. ;)

    D&D 5E (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

MoAR's Elementalist class is a half-caster class that does make use of a spell point system. Unlike most spellcasters, the Elementalist's power is described as being raw and unrefined and thus requires some care to shape it into a true spell. It costs about 2 spell points to cast a 1st-level...

    D&D 5E (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

The Elementalist class from Purple Martin Games' Manual of Adventurous Resources does it for me. It was based off of PF1's Kineticist class.

What would it even look like mechanically? And is there a spellcasting class that comes even close to being considered simple? I have yet to meet one.

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

I am curious to see what will be in the pages of the Eberron: Forge of the Artificer and the Forgotten Realms Players Guide. Will I buy a physical copy of either book? That remains to be seen as the crunchy bits of either book will probably appear somewhere online for free. Currently that would...

    D&D 5E (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

I went and Googled the definition for martial as it relates to role-playing games such as D&D. In role-playing games, "martial" generally refers to characters or classes that prioritize physical combat and weapon usage over magical abilities. With regards to Rangers and Paladins then, it...

Afraid so. I see the two classes as martial classes even though they have the ability to cast spells in 5e.

    D&D 5E (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

Plus each martial class has a list of combat traditions they are proficient in. Heralds (A5e's name for Paladin) can become proficient in 2 of the following combat traditions: Sanguine Knot, Spirited Steed, or Tempered Iron. Rangers in Level Up can become proficient in 2 of the following...

    D&D 5E (2024) Martial/Caster fix.

Like @CreamCloud0 said, the first two are martials. The High Elf Fighter (Champion) is also martial, one that benefits from the use of some spell-like abilities thanks to their species.
