We mostly played the official published adventures which make sure the players level every 2 sessions (or more). So going to a sandbox style changed things up

My group hasn't leveled up after 2 sessions and they are getting nervous.

The Witches Hypnotize (for level 3 or less does nothing while locking eyes with the Witch. DC 15 Cha save if loses eye lock to end) and the Bards fasinate ability (basically the same except level 4 and multi target!) seems horribly broken. Pretty powerful for Level 1 PCs. I know a Solo Boss...

Yeah same. Though Ive never understood that style of gameplay aside from bragging rights. I have an ultra purple sword got it on my 50th play through! Then again I don't care about Achievements/Trophies/whatever either. Im just here for the story. To each their own.

Loved Diablo 1 and 2. Especially 1 for is D&D-ness. D3 was really lacking IMO. To often I had been told "Just beat it 3-4 times (or whatever) then it gets really good!"

They said C4 is a new world., I believe. I'm not saying they are going to straight up stop using Exandria, just it's going to get less face time because it's a D&D setting now. Their main core show: Critical Role should house their flagship product. I would think. IDK

The more I think about it, yeah it has to be Daggerheart. You don't start your own product and then showcase the rivals. Exandria will always be a D&D setting and may get future products but going forward they want costuemrs to buy their rules and expanded books for those rules
