Correct. An AI can't 'choose' any more than it can 'panick' or 'feel fear'. It all comes down to the series of steps between the prompt and the outcome, and the probabilistic path that got it there. And too many people using AI to do too many critical things don't seem to grasp that.

After reading that, I have one suggestion for you in terms of search - Everything on Windows and ProFind on Mac. mdfind and locate are fine, but ProFind is better. And Everything is just better than Windows find.

I think that's reductionist on the processes (the problem is that the results are probabilistic rather than deterministic), but yeah, AI should be used to enable people to not do scut repetitive work and concentrate their focus on areas where you need human feedback rather than remove humans...

I call naughty word. AI don't have feelings. So how could an AI confess to panicking? Unless it spontaneously developed sentience?

That's what I meant in mine- it does work. And you can use your own folder structure and just point calibre to it instead of creating a library.
