    D&D 5E (2014) Live Dungeons & Dragons Q&A Friday, June 6 Question Thread

I was dismayed that this thread degenerated into discussion over differences between British and American English. But then I realized, this beats a damage on a miss thread any day.

    D&D 5E (2014) Starter Set Contents Teaser

Gray Elf: Back in my day we only had three classes, and fighters were called fighting men, and wizards were called magic-users. It was the style of the time. *collective groan* Gray Elf: I remember we entered the underground labyrinth of a great castle, and the first room had a fountain that...

    D&D 5E (2014) Live Dungeons & Dragons Q&A Friday, June 6 Question Thread

Personally I prefer rouge to rogue. At first it was a mistake, but now I think I like it. It has that sexy "oojh" sound.

I like this, both because it says what we're really trying to say and because you used a food metaphor.

    D&D 5E (2014) Pages from the PHB

You would have not thought of OD&D as a complete game. It only had three classes (cleric, fighting-man, magic-user), and dwarves and hobbits could only be fighting-men. Elves could alternate between fighting-men and magic-users. But seriously, they say it's a complete game, WotC. Can't you just...

D&D 5E (2014) Forgotten Realms: No Campaign Something in the Catalog?

That is awesome! I want to see more diversity had mixing of cultures and ethnicities! People in the real world didn't stay in tidy political boundaries based on skin color and neither should a fantasy world. Especially a fantasy world.

D&D 5E (2014) Things that probably won't happen, but man would it be cool if they did!

Hey man, that kitten didn't do anything wrong. Slap a goose instead. They're the murderers of the water fowl kingdom.

D&D 5E (2014) Reduced Price on DMG and MM on Amazon

You know, its no 3e $20 bucks a core rule book 2000 release, but really, where else are you going to find three 320 page hardcover full color art rule books with a premium brand for less than $100? The worst part is the waiting. GIMME GIMME GIMME!

D&D 5E (2014) The new Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set - and online tools?

I'm tired of private enterprise controlling the distribution of Dungeons & Dragons! I demand the government step in, create a full game, and distribute it to the masses!

D&D 5E (2014) Forgotten Realms: No Campaign Something in the Catalog?

We didn't get a 3e Forgotten Realms setting till June 2001. So be patient, WotC doesn't have unlimited resources. It takes time. I'm sure once the three core are finished they will devote their resources to the realms.

That doesn't count labor and overhead, which could easily make. $5 book $15 or more, slimming those profit margins.

    D&D 5E (2014) The Flumpf Is Back

Wasn't there a Dragon article or personal anecdote where one of the 3e team had a setting where the nobility had flumphs tied to strings and took them out in public like balloons?
