I would advise going War cleric. Crusader's mantle and divine favor are incredible with the amount oif attacks you have. I would also advise waiting til fighter level 6 to mc so you have 2 asi's and extra attack. Once you get to 11 fighter 4 attacks per turn with divine favor is devastating.

I was talking in general about the build. If a creature moves from 5' to 10' from you you don't get an opp attack, whereas any non-reach weapon would. This means that your allies actually want to be a good ways away from you and not within that 10' bubble of free enemy movement.
