Is it OK to distribute others' OGC for free?

What does 'risk' have to do with this? Why would it be more ethical to strip out the UA OGC, put some new artwork in and sell it as a PDF than to give it away?

Is it OK to distribute others' OGC for free?

They can revoke the d20 license whenever they want to on an indivudual basis or on a blanket basis. They can also change the d20 license whenever they want to, and they already have done this. They do not have to release 4.0 under the d20 license or any incarnation of it. Nor do they have to...

Is it OK to distribute others' OGC for free?

On a related note. Is it Ok to charge for someone elses OGC? Does it change anything if that person is giving the OGC away or is also selling it? 2nd post in thread, by Dave, has it all right. Its perfectly legal. Now the moral question comes up. Is it moral to re-distribute someone elses...

    If WotC publishes more adventures....

I think it would be better to stick to the core books. The web-enhancement would be a great place to put stat up the bad-guys using the latest splatbooks and suggestions for replacing some monsters with ones from the latest monster book. I would also prefer a mega-adventure. I have decided I...

    monks?....

No unarmed damage is still good. The general rule is if the gloves do not make you 'armed' then you are fine. For example Spiked Gauntlets do not work because they are an actual weapon, but regular gauntlets would be ok.

What 1st-level spells should any Wizard have?

Color Spray .... Have you guys looked at this spell in 3.5? It has been seriously nerfed. Its only a 15ft cone now. Thats alot closer than I as a 3rd lvl Wizard want to get to anything hostile. Magic Missile ... Got 2 missiles now. Might be a good choice in some circumstances, but still...

    PC Replacements

This is what I have done in the past. New PLayer... New PC gets same XP as the current lowest amount of XP in the party. PC gets to equipment at the PC rate of money, no single item worth more than 1/2 total amount. Replacement Characters... XP as if the previous character had been Raised or...

The Great Stat-Card Project: (UPDATED 8/9) 3rd level summoning spells

Yes, its d20 compatable. You just need to make sure that you are d20 compliant I would suggest you read the OGL license carefully at least two times; read the d20 license carefully at least two times; read the FAQ on WOTC site. Then ask specific questions in the publishers forum.

    Peak of D&D: the 1980s?

Tough call. I think coming up with hard numbers for the '80s would be very difficult. I am not even sure how someone can accurately estimate how many people actively play D&D right now. Further complicating the matter is how the demographics of the game has changed. In the 80s the game was...

The Great Stat-Card Project: (UPDATED 8/9) 3rd level summoning spells

I would suggest that you follow the OGL and perhaps also the d20 license.

They do need more variety in weapons, more polearms please. There is a decent amount of females represented, but you are correct that a human/elf female Rogue would be nice.

So you got "The Book of Iron Might", what do you think.

I expect most people will only 'size up' someone if combat has not started yet and they are currently at a 'peaceful' state. I think the feat is balanced but I don't think it meshes well with the Sense Motive skill. Sense Motive seams like the logical skill(especially outside of combat) to use...

    Another TPK - Sigh.

I got to disagree with that one big time. The d20 knowledge and profession skills and many others are all set up to give the characters information that the players may or may not know OOC. In this case a relatively low Survival skill check would have indicated that the fire was clearly...

    Liches and XP

According to the DMG, its the objective of the PCs that determines if XP is to be awarded. If you don't meet the objective then you don't get XP. If the objective is to destroy the Dragon or the Liche and you only drive it off then no XP by the rules. But if the objective is to rid this area...

    Simple monk question

In the 'Monk Sucks' thread about 6 months ago I mentioned a player of mine having a Glaive weilding Monk that was quite effective.
