Yeah, looking at it again. You definantly can mix OGL and GSL. You would just need to make extra sure that the additional restrictions on WOTC material are adhered to.
I am not seeing the benefit to using the GSL over just using 'fair use'.
With OGL/D20 I could just copy & paste stuff all...
Magic Item Identification
I noticed you had an entry for easier magic item identification but didn't elaborate on it.
Here are my house rules:
1) Identify works without changes
2) Detect Magic can be used to identify a magic item by comparing it to a similar item. For example the party finds...
Well section 5.4 should be easy to abide by :)
My first reading doesn't turn up anything about not using the OGL anymore.
But you certainly couldn't mix OGL and GSL in a single product.
It seems that the license allows one to use the official logo and bunch of terms. The definitions of the...
This.
Plus have one or two mysterious groups who are working behind the scenes. Then as the PCs find clues and debate the meaning of the clues keep track of these ideas that the players have given you and run with it.
Hi,
What book is the Sculpt Spell feat in?
Here is what I know that it does
sculpt spell (+1 lvl, cylinder 10ft rad & 30 ft high, cone 40 ft, cubes 4 10ft, ball 20ft rad spread)
Thanks,
Scott
eh, I'd post it on your own website.
If WOTC asks you to take it down then do it.
If its good enough, WOTC has a history of bringing those programs who flaunt the WOTC license.
There isn't a license to break at this point anyway, just copyright and trademark.
I still have a lot of those lead minis. We called the figures or figs for short back then.
The D&D Mini pre painted plastic minis are your most economical replacements.
The cheapest way to collect is to ignore the fact that there are Rares in a set and just buy Commons and Uncommons from ebay...
I usually use a chair or smaller table next to where I sit for dungeon maps etc that I don't want the players to see. This leaves the area in front of clear.
Ticket to Ride - build railroad routes accross America to gain points. Easy to learn, hard to master.
Carcassonne - tile based build medeival walled cities and surrounding country side. Again easy to learn but hard to master. Very easy to play, the scoring at the end is the only complex part.
KenCo didn't agree to the GSL so they cannot be restricted by it.
As for the second question I would say no they do not need to license it from BobCo, but this would be spelled out in their agreement between each other for allowing BobCo in the first place to use the monster.
This is a big...
I recognize this.
However, this can also be said of the the many classed character in 3.5; and a lot of people had problems with characters that had 3+ classes. I called my character a scout even though he was a Rogue/Ranger/Barbarian.
Because of the multi-classing rules in 3.5 I found that...
When 3e came out I was stoked and would never go back to 2e.
So far 4e is different for me. At this point 4e another game.
I'll play 4e, 3e, Arcana Unearthed, M&M, etc.
Maybe once I start playing I'll ditch 3.5e altogether but at this point I don't see that happening.
How about before the player roles damage and before you tell them that they dropped the opponent, the player must decide if the damage is lethal or subdual.
If its subdual and it will not have dropped the opponent then maybe it does no damage or maybe 1/2 damage.
Thats it. Thats what I've been trying to put my finger on about what I don't like about 4e.
They simplified monster building and NPC creation so that WOTC can easily create adventures (and they won't mess up the math). Not necessarily for a better game, but so that WOTC can do their job...
