D&D 5E (2024) Not loving weapon mastery with beginners

Maybe they should have started with the starter set. I think it's coming some time next year. I never use them but they seem good for new players and dms. I had alot of new players in my last campaign and eventually they started learning their pcs. I think if you watch them learn and master new...

D&D 5E (2024) Dancing bards and true strike.

So I noticed true strike is the one spell that doesn't work with unarmed strikes. One of my players is making a dancing bard and I think combining this with their unarmed strike is still weaker than valor bard.

D&D General What would be a good half-elf feature that is combat focused?

Right now, I'm gonna just use whatever elf or human for half elves and orc or human for half orcs. Honestly my biggest problem with 5.5 is the fact that all of the half breeds around no longer exist. It's over peeps, you can only bang your own species now or your a bigot.

D&D 5E (2024) Turning power attack and power shot into weapon masteries?!

I was actually thinking of tying it to ability mod×2(capped at 10 damage) and only using the attack action(no bonus action attacks).

D&D 5E (2024) Turning power attack and power shot into weapon masteries?!

Do you think making the minus 5 to hit plus ten damage from the old feats are too strong in the revision?

D&D 5E (2024) I love the new changes to Paladin

The one problem with the change isn't the limiting of smites once per round(I think they could have fixed this with the new casting rules), kits the fact that you can't polearm master because of the bonus action usage.

D&D 5E (2024) Forgotten Realms: Heroes of Faerûn

I don't want a book full of drizzle and emmaminster stats. Brief descriptions will do. Oh yeah, if they are just gonna redo 6e subclasses,do them right this time.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

Well if you go CBE, you basically want 3 xbows. 2 handxbows and a heavy for range. Put that feat to work.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

That's fine I was just noting hiw my group plays. They really stacked melee feats this time around. I think that range weapon masteries might be the reason. I like the thought of dervish style rangers now but the dual battleaxe wielding barby is gone.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Reviews

I don't have those problems with my group. They don't know how to power game really. A couple did multiclass, but mote for character reasons.

D&D General The Case For High INT Fighters in Dungeons and Dragons

4e had dex con and wis as a secondary stat for the fighter. It was a nice thing about 4th. I always thought that classes that aren't as mad as monks and pallys should have a something like 4e did. I dug the cha barby in 4e. The way that 4e gave classes roles, this gave a way to dip into other roles.

D&D General D&D Player's Handbook 2024: The Official Advance Review

Dudes, companies are naming new stuff old stuff(look at modernwarfare). I'm guessing they all went to the same buisiness seminar telling them to use nostalgia to bring in customers.
