Is this staled for a 2021 retail release? They haven't even slated a KS date for it yet.

Nominate your MOST ANTICIPATED RPG of 2021

I am looking forward to US 2e but its slated for a November 2021 release for KS and retail usually follows at least a few months thereafter. Also, Magpie, whilst a great publisher, are almost always a few months late on fulfillment. As such, I think this is much more likely to be a 2022 release.

Urban Shadows 2e: An Interview With Mark Diaz Truman (Magpie Games)

The 2e corebook has 2 new playbooks plus the existing 10 from the 1e corebook. All 1e supplemental playbooks will be getting a 2e playbook in PDF, plus there are a handful of new ones. Urban Shadows does World of Darkness better than WoD does IMO and finally delivers on the WoD promise. As Mark...

    That is gorgeous. Very cool.

    Check Out WFRP's Middenheim Map!

I never said I use it as an accurate small scale battle map. I also agree that maps have a level of artistic impression, including both of these. However, the older map provided more useful information for us as well, as said, such as location of alleyways, proportionate size and number of...

    Vaesen Explores Moody, Mythic Mysteries

I agree. The RPG is very good. We also tend to add a step before the invitation dealing with personal scenes around Upsala and dealing with any threats that have arisen.

    Check Out WFRP's Middenheim Map!

We have used it to trace out getaway routes and ambushes based on street positions. We also found it a good representation of the size and number of buildings in any district.

    Check Out WFRP's Middenheim Map!

I prefer the older map with its additional detail like alleyways, yards, and vegetation. The proportions of the buildings and streets in the new one seem to add a lot of open space and be more of an impression of the city. Its also odd with all the additional blank space around the city in the...

Teens in Space Wins Best RPG Origins Award

The Origins Award is a industry award and it has a reputation of being pretty far removed from the hobby. The ENnies are a better representation of the hobby IMO. On saying that, Teens in Space looks to be a good game, so congrats.

A BATMAN RPG Has Just Been Announced

Though I whole heartedly agree with Morrus generally, as there have been multiple versions of Batman (15 People Who Have Been Batman (Besides Bruce Wayne)) you could run a story with everyone as Batman if that's what people wanted. I seem to recall that they did a story arc recently which...

Hasbro's Heroquest and Chaosium’s Role in the Board Game’s Return

If you don't have an original, I wouldn't recommend getting the reprint TBH. You can get more for your money these days and any value you would get from nostalgia will be much reduced in its current form.

Hasbro's Heroquest and Chaosium’s Role in the Board Game’s Return

I think Heroquest is a better entry level dungeon crawler than those examples, even if they are better games in general. That's Heroquest's real advantage IMO, which is why its such a shame that the price point completely undercuts that. All it really leaves is the nostalgic old fan market.

Hasbro's Heroquest and Chaosium’s Role in the Board Game’s Return

Between the limited shipping and high price point, I think its a shame that it looks like kids like that are no longer the target market. Those kids who have now grown up and have jobs very much are.

A BATMAN RPG Has Just Been Announced

I don't really see a Batman RPG as being a superhero RPG. Its much more a cinematic action RPG IMO and d20 is pretty much a cinematic action RPG at its base. As such, I am more hopefully that it will be a good fit, especially given the scope and tone shown in the Batman: Gotham City Chronicles...
