    WFRP Release Updates for 2020

Not 4th edition. However, it is easier to convert 1e and 2e to ZH as its mechanically closer to them than 4e is. Fortunately, all of The Enemy Within is already out for 1e: DriveThruRPG.com - Cubicle 7 Entertainment Ltd. - Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay First Edition - The Largest RPG Download Store!

Cubicle 7 No Longer Producing The One Ring and Adventures in Middle Earth

Its more complex than that. Doesn't the design team on TOR work for Sophisticated Games? Perhaps SG does more than just licence the IP and may even retain much of the IP in TOR and AiME, much like GW does with WFRP.

    Gen Con Behind the Stand

Yep, they go back some years prior to Tales from the Loop having released both Mutant Year Zero and Coriolis (with the existing RPG Symbaroum having since come under their umbrella).

    Gen Con Behind the Stand

Fria Ligan have been around a few years prior to the Tales from the Loop, having released both Mutant Year Zero and Coriolis (and arguably Symbaroum which has subsequently come under their umbrella).

Things from the Flood Is Now Available

Generally RPGs with children PCs are intended for adult players IME. Most children players want to play adults. Though Tales from the Loop has a simple system that would work for children players, the overall aim is for adult players to capture nostalgia from their own childhood. A number of...

News Digest: Summary of the D&D Announcements of the Week, One Ring 2nd Edition Announced, New Elder

I am pretty sure AME will continue to follow TOR releases. That means Rohan and Erebor before Moria and Gondor.

Things from the Flood: A Review

They are similar in crunch. The main mechanical distinction between the archetypes is the favoured skills as you can only have 1 in a skill to start unless favoured. Other than that, it’s more a points buy system for PCs than a class based one. Prides do provide a lot of mechanical distinction...

Things from the Flood: A Review

I have just finished running the scenarios in the book and the Mystery Compendium. Its been an absolutely blast to run and super easy with the resources provided.

Tomas Härenstam, Lead Designer for Mutant: Year Zero, Talks Free League RPGs

Forbidden Lands is FL's most complex RPG. In order of complexity after that, they go Mutant Year Zero, Coriolis and Tales from the Loop. The last is simple and an almost perfect introduction to new players in the hobby and you can use it and the other FL's to step up the complexity over time...

Age of Sigmar's Cover Art Unveiled

Calculating SL by subtracting the dice roll from your skill is roll under.

Age of Sigmar's Cover Art Unveiled

That’s not how it works in 4e. To determine success levels you subtract the tens digit of your roll from the tens digit of your skill. That’s the roll under element. You then compare SLs and the high SL wins. FWIW some people don’t have an issue with this shift and it’s not massively difficult...

Age of Sigmar's Cover Art Unveiled

Degrees of success with roll under adds another mathematical calculation per roll (meaning two more per attack) as well as a comparison of the two new amounts. Some people also find the flip from rolling under combined with comparing the highest margin requires greater mental gymnastics than...

Age of Sigmar's Cover Art Unveiled

Degrees of success are in previous versions of WFRP as well, but not to determine the winner in an opposed roll. Most roll under systems do not use degrees of success in this manner, and for good reason, as doing so complicates slows the gameplay down considerably.

Despite my Zweihander preference, for a younger gamer, the new WFRP4e starter set is pretty sweet.
