Interview with Zweihander's Daniel D. Fox: Bounded Accuracy Meets WFRPG

Zweihander is mechanically more closely linked to WFRP2e. Though WFRP1e is still looked on fondly by all WFRP fans, the mechanics of 2e are generally considered to be close to 1e whilst cleaning up and streamlining the system. The changes in Zweihander are mostly to deal with specific issues...

90% of D&D Games Stop By Level 10; Wizards More Popular At Higher Levels

There is also a complete lack of support for gameplay at level 11+. Even most of the campaigns stop at level 10 now. We need more books like Colville's Strongholds & Followers that provide a framework and tools for the higher levels.

    D&D 5E (2014) Strongholds & Followers: A Review

I found this book to be excellent. It took what could be potentially a dry and fiddly part of D&D and made it easy to use, fun, and full of added narrative. It is now an essential part of my level 7+ game play.

Kick Off a Fantasy Campaign in Forbidden Lands

Its an RPG. It comes with a hex map which you complete as you play. There is a campaign book which has a bunch of locations that can be set anywhere on the map and a set of stickers for these locations if you prefer to use them rather than handwrite on the map.

Kick Off a Fantasy Campaign in Forbidden Lands

They are amazingly well designed too, both in terms of mechanics and the way they present campaigns and adventures.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

Starship combat is similar in that it’s based on personal combat. We have only seen the basics so far. There is no droid race, but there is an artificially made race and a sentient energy powersuit wearing race.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

The Threats Manual and Master Technician's Guide will have starship threats, rules for starship construction, and advanced options for starship combat.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

If a player is willing to use a DMG variant rule in a D&D5e game, but not in an Esper Genesis game which is designed so you can use D&D5e rules without effort or impediment, then the limiting factor is the player.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

That is not yet known. Esper Genesis has only released its Core Manual, which is the PHB equivalent. Even D&D does not include the variants you refer to in the PHB. Esper Genesis's Master Technician Guide is due early next year and may well include variants. In addition, given that Esper...

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

The Threats Manual is due this month in PDF. Things got delayed due to the amount of art needed, but there have been teasers via G+ and Facebook and it looks very good. The Master Technicians Guide is due early next year and there have been teasers on it yet.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

Esper Genesis is based on D&D5e. As such, if you know D&D5e and Star Wars Saga Edition, you should be able to make that comparison. Esper Genesis by default doesn't include all of Star Wars's setting conceits. Though Sentinels and Adepts may match some ideas of the Force, Esper Genesis is more...

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

As said, all the DMG alternative rules (however you term them) are equally useable in Esper Genesis and given the same level of priority as in 5e i.e it’s an entirely usable option but doesn’t appear in the PHB equivalent. I don’t see the outrage/controversy/alienation you are trying to find...

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

I am not sure what you are referring to. I am happy with the healing rate presented in D&D5e and Esper Genesis and there appears to be a large customer base that is similarly minded. If you have found a house rule for D&D5e that gives you a greater sense of plausibility, then good for you. The...

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

The same way that you justify being fine the next morning after being blasted by dragon fire or hit multiple times with a battle axe. Sci fi has almost as many examples of pulp stories as fantasy to draw on. I think your preferences around fantasy and modern damage sources are essentially...

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

Sure. Some are derived from D&D races but they are all usable in a fantasy game.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

Its the same as D&D5e in that regard.

    Esper Genesis: Sci-Fantasy for 5E

Esper Genesis doesn't use the Mystic. Most "arcane magic" using classes (of which there are three) use a reskinned D&D5e magic system with the DMG alternate rules for Power Points.
