    This comes very close to describing Iain M. Banks' Culture books, which I highly recommend to anyone interested in these themes. They can be read in any order, but I like to suggest The Player of Games as a good entry-point. And all that being said, it would be a fascinating sci-fi setting!

    I've been running a game using the playtest Levelup rules (level 5 characters). I plan to upgrade it to the full-version asap. I'm also running a second more conventional 5e game, but I still plan to sneak in some Levelup Monsters and Journey rules into that campaign.
