    Modifying Paladin abilities?

Unearthed Arcana also has a good broad section on that sort of class variant, though I don't recall how much it had specifically on paladins. Pretty sure it mentions mount substitutes somewhere, though. --Impeesa--

    New Feat for review

The technical design term for that would be "really awkward." ;) A better way to do it might be just to say "Increase your base unarmed damage by two steps. This does not stack with increased unarmed damage granted by monk or monk-like class levels." --Impeesa--

Angelsboi passed away 16 Jun 04 (was: Angelsboi Health Update)

You know, it was just a few days ago that I was telling my girlfriend about this guy I knew online and how hard he'd been hit by AIDS. I was wondering how he was doing, because I hadn't seen an update in months. When I first saw there was a new update on his health, I breathed a small sigh of...

    Who Would Illustrate Your Setting?

    Most definitely Samwise Didier. --Impeesa--

Leatherbound PHB: Would you buy this?

Depends. If I didn't already have a 3.5 PHB, I might be willing to pay the extra for this - just for the coolness factor. Since I do already have a 3.5 PHB though, budget will likely say "no." --Impeesa--

    Monstrous Monk: Multi Attack

Under 3.0E, no, a monk could not TWF/MWF with unarmed attacks. In 3.5, not only is this possible, it stacks with flurry. Go nuts. :) --Impeesa--

Kevin Bacon Game - How Close Are You?

I think I can do this two different ways (both 5 degrees, interestingly enough). 1) A girl I know is marrying a guy who had a small part in Walking Tall, featuring The Rock, who was in The Rundown with William Lucking, who was in The River Wild with Kevin Bacon. 2) My cousin's husband...

4 weeks and 37 minutes without tobacco

Congrats! It's always good when you can stop before the health problems get too severe. One woman I game with kicked the habit last spring when her niece (also a good friend of mine) had a brush with skin cancer. Made her stop and think about where she was headed, I guess... Hah. Reminds me of...

    Hypothetical Spiderman 3 villain

My girlfriend and I were talking about this not too long ago.. our money's on Lizard (and possibly the symbiote) for #3, setting up for Venom in #4. Venom's a fan favorite, but he requires quite a bit of setup (symbiote, Eddie Brock's rivalry, etc), and I can't see them putting that off much...

    Experiences with Warcraft

The overlap is basically just a few races. The versions in the MoM are 'monsters', they have several racial HD and such. The versions in the A&HC are slimmed down to fit into the LA +1-2 bracket that PCs can actually use. --Impeesa--

    Define some genres

You know, that reminds me of an idea I came up with not too long ago for a game.... GRAND THEFT HOSS. Shoot hookers, run from cops, and steal horses... in the wild west. :D --Impeesa--

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

Actually, amusingly enough, I have. Played in a year-and-a-half long game that just gasped its last sometime earlier this spring. If you ease into it, and use Jonathan Dale's amazing character sheet, it's not nearly as complicated as some people make it out to be. Magic, on the other hand, has...

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

Eh, the little kids play Yu-Gi-Oh. Magic caters to many crowds, but most of them are in a slightly higher age bracket. For example, the guy at this table, opposite the camera, is 22 and has earned a grand total of $330,000 in prizes playing Magic competitively. :) --Impeesa--

    Richard Garfield vs. Gary Gygax

Someone who plays Magic? Some minor card player? You're talking about a man with a PhD in combinatorial mathematics, who created the framework for a game that is likely the most complex ever created, yet still playable by a total beginner. ;) --Impeesa--

Please Sell me on Warcraft RPG

Some people have had some complaints about the earlier books, particularly regarding internal consistancy between the various races. Personally, I think it's great. Haven't had a chance to run it yet, but I love the books. :) --Impeesa--

Improved TWF, Quickdraw and Thrown Weapons?

Here's another cool bit - TWF now works with Flurry. Monk 6/Shou Disciple 5/Ranger X with rapid shot, haste, and GTWF can throw 11 axes or daggers per round. :) At this point, the only disadvantage is enchanting them all - might I recommend a modified Quiver of Anariel? --Impeesa--

Are the official WotC forums worth going to?

Sometimes I take a look around several different areas just to see what's up, but currently I visit the WotC boards primarily for the Character Optimization board. The people there are incredibly clever, and help keep me on my toes with my own crazy builds. :) --Impeesa--

Hit points: High side, average, straight roll, what?

We use a pretty generous method: The usual max at 1st. Best of four rolls at 2nd. Best of three at 3rd. Best of two at 4th. Straight rolls thereafter. At every level, if your best roll (or single roll) ends up below half max, round up to half max. --Impeesa--

Why the hate for anime? (Y da hat 4 anime?)

Cowboy Bebop is good that way. It's been a while since I last watched it all, but I don't really recall any of those typical "shortcuts" being used. --Impeesa--

Why the hate for anime? (Y da hat 4 anime?)

Mod parent up! +5, Geek. I would feel more justified in calling you a geek if it weren't for the fact that when I first read this, I was supposed to be working and the only other window I had open was Slashdot. ;) --Impeesa--
