I view the planes as pretty key to D&D’s identity so I enjoy reading about the cosmology and such. Like the planes connect multiple settings and have been around since 1e and are pretty unique to D&D and derivatives of it.

I think the problem with the Piscoloth is that it looks too much like a Chuul.

I was talking about that too. It’s just not that much faster if you have the book memorized.

2 headed Dog is a Death Dog. I think we have all three Malison Types Snake Arms, Snake head, Snake lower body. I don’t think we got the Abomination as it has a snake head and snake lower body.

I use Beyond in games. Spells being the statblock is not much faster than quickly looking them up in the book.

It's not going to make it that much easier with Beyond. I doubt it's malicious thinking, they just thought it was the best solution.

A CR 24 Dragon could be a final boss for a level 20 party. On it's own it would just be a Moderate encounter so it can be given backup. Like a CR 24 Ancient Red Dragon along with a CR 18 Fire Giant Forge Caller would be a good encounter.
