D&D and RPGs have experienced the popularity surge, certainly, but it is already done and out there--it is more mainstream than 20+ years ago. New generations are being taught by older players. Many of my friends who had kids taught their kids, and I hear all the time about other parents doing...

Jeez, no, I won't stop playing. :rolleyes: If WotC EVER comes out with some good stuff I'll still buy it -- I haven't bought anything from them in nearly two years (maybe more?).

I had three players briefly mention the "OGL-thing" in our session last night. Frankly, I told them it doesn't make any difference to me since I never use 3PP stuff--just official TSR/WotC material and the rest is all house-rule / homebrew. Honestly, unless you have a 3PP business or such 3PP...

Yeah, and threw in the Wild West as well... I will NEVER understand the success of that movie. :rolleyes:

Yep, love 3d20 take middle for D&D: y = -0.075x2 + 1.575x - 0.775 is the equation for 3d20 take middle. It doesn't generate a "bell curve" necessarily, but it is a nicely symmetrical distribution. Sorcery was just an early name for mathematics after all. ;)

Voted Other. I can see myself playing D&D 5E for another year or so, but then I will either switch to AD&D (modified), have finished my own game and play that, or just work on my own game.

🤷‍♂️ Whatever... I like both the races and play Dwarves probably more than any other race. But since I am the High Aldwin, had to make my last vote for the Halfling. :)

LOL, people had hundreds of votes to remove the core AD&D races and failed to do so. To those complaining about it, you have no one to blame but yourselves. Also... TOLKIEN RULES!!!! :D

Once the half-orc is gone, we'll almost have the LotR crew (sans human...). Well, sort of... subraces might be a bit off.

Not surprising at all really (nor funny IMO ;) ) since those are the BEST races for D&D. Just about everything else is monsters or aliens. :D

The OGL doesn't matter at all to me because the next iteration of D&D doesn't matter to me. I'm sure sometime over the next few years I'll either convert my group to AD&D, find a different group that plays AD&D, or stop playing D&D completely and maybe just make my own game. The longer I've been...
