Here is 11-20. This thread is a lot of fun for me!
11. Gnomes are a subspecies of dwarves. They’re also the same height as other dwarves and therefore considered of Medium size.
12. Each of the seven subspecies of dwarves were created by the god Kagyar/Reorx out of different metals, at...
Well, I’m not ready to throw 101 random facts from my games in one go, so here are the first 10:
1. Halfling is a catch-all term for any intelligent humanoid species of Small size that A) did not originate from the Feywild and B) is not part of the goblinoid genus.
2. Hin are the dominant...
Well, in my Eberron games, Zilargo is less a police state and more a nation-sized opium den. The Zil gnomes themselves are all dreamlily addicts, so if you want a campaign using some ideas from inception, you can expect the gnomes to play a big part in the campaign.
Eberron campaign. His name was MCVC-35. He was a 5th level Oath of Vengeance Warforged Paladin who, while under the effect of a haste spell, dealt 175 damage to Mordakhesh in a single turn.
Mordakhesh’s statblock has 170 hit points.
By the end of the session, everyone at the table (including...
Numeria, the Land of Fallen Stars.
So technically, Pathfinder’s Golarion setting. It’s just that Numeria is pretty much the only part of it I care for.
Because maybe someone at WOTC back in the early 2000s decided that chlorine gas would mix with the dragon’s saliva and become hydrochloric acid? It’s just a thought.
I mean, some of them are pretty cool to me. My personal favorites are the Dragonbone Golem, Crystal Dragon, Topaz Dragon, and...
Amen. I remember telling a guy who was DMing for the first time a variation of this. He nodded and smiled, clearly not listening, and six months later was genuinely shocked when his players “staged a coup” (his words) over this exact issue.
It’s official. Even if I don’t buy this book (I’m more interested in the Spelljammer campaign guide which is likely to show up later this year), my dad certainly will.
His home setting is Forgotten Realms’ Sword Coast, but reimagined as a fantasy China. If nothing else, he’s VERY interested...
Sending spells, animal messengers, heralds traveling through teleportation circles, or just taking the long way and physically traveling from one city to the other on foot or steed.
I say have each module within the adventure anthology take place on a different planet of Realmspace.
Perhaps start with Lantan, move towards the Mercury-equivalent, then swing back around to the Tears of Selune and move outward.
Reply to OP.
Well, guess it will be Spelljammer and Dragonlance this year. Hopefully Dark Sun next year.
As for the UA itself:
I don’t like feats, so I despise the very concept of feat chains. On the other hand, embedding feats into backgrounds is okay. Not great, but okay.
I prefer the...
#1 Muls - I really, really like the idea of a half-dwarf. We already have half-elves, why not half-dwarves too?
#2 Lizardfolk - There’s just something about playing a semi-aquatic reptile-man which I find really appealing.
Don’t know much about Kamigawa myself, but my old DM is so excited about Neon Dynasty he can barely string two words together, much less an entire sentence. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s already started up a Kamigawa campaign.
I take a proactive approach with this myself. Whenever we get a new player in my group, I explain that if they are looking to play with Matt Mercer, they’ll just be disappointed. I have autism, prefer combat to roleplay (although there will still be a little bit of it), and can’t do accents...
