D&D 5E (2014) How much spare gold does your character you have?

My last campaign ended with the party members having 5 million gold and seven magic items. Each. The one player who irl grew up in a family where good behavior was expected but never really rewarded announced that he had died and gone to heaven. EDIT - campaign ended at 8th level. Last...

    D&D 5E (2014) Metalic Dragonborn from D&D Celebration

Enervating breath. Ah, yes. As if every session I’ve ever played in didn’t already include a joke about doing drugs. Setting that aside, I like the new Metallic Dragonborn quite a bit.

    D&D 5E (2014) Fizban's Treasury of Dragons Previews

You know, I was just working on an idea for a campaign where dragons were created by the gods to be siege weapons, while elder brains were created by the gods to be war strategists. There’s definitely a place for this creature in that campaign...

I’m pretty sure they were in the Original Adventures Reincarnated #4 - the Lost City.

D&D General List the 3 Coolest Parts of Your Homebrew World

From my modified DARK SUN setting: 1). Dwarves died out 300 years ago, but muls survive and can breed true. 2). The current batch of Sorcerer-Kings are just that: the latest in a long line of spellcasting tyrants. There have been multiple “generations” before them. 3). There was no single...

D&D General What are the most populous races in your setting?

Which is why I added the word homebrew. In my games, muls can reproduce. Dwarves are extinct in my Dark Sun, as I find it more interesting to have muls be the heirs of dwarvenkind.

D&D General What are the most populous races in your setting?

In my (hopefully upcoming) homebrew Dark Sun campaign, in descending order from largest population to smallest: 1) humans 2) halflings 3) muls 4) thri-kreen 5) elves 6) gith

    D&D 5E (2014) Adventuring on the moon?

No, but now I wish I’d thought of that.

D&D General How Do You Feel About Sigil?

Reply to OP. Don’t care much for either Sigil, the Lady of Pain, or Planescape. Admittedly, I prefer the World Axis model over the Great Wheel.

D&D 5E (2014) What Wizard School Would Come From Each Race/Lineage?

I don’t have Wildemount, so I know nothing of these two’s game mechanics: Chronomancy = Lizardfolk or Firbolg Graviturgist = Githzerai As for the rest: Abjuration = Humans Conjuration = Tieflings Divination = Aasimars Enchantment = High Elves Evocation = Rock Gnomes Illusion = Forest Gnomes...

D&D 5E (2014) Wandering encounters in Breland, Korvaire, Eberron

In Breland? Magebred bears, slightly outdated constructs probably too, since Breland is sort of Khorvaire’s industrial nation. Also gargoyles, harpies, ogres, gnolls, and minotaurs. Droaam is right next door, but perhaps some of the warlords refused to bow to the Daughters of Sora Kell and...

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

Had to cancel because COVID cases are back up in my area and since none of us wanted to try zoom again, we’ll be holding off the game until cases come back down.

    D&D 5E (2014) Adventuring on the moon?

They were going to be stone giants with innate illusion and enchantment-type spellcasting. Also, instead of loincloths they would be wearing togas.

    D&D 5E (2014) Adventuring on the moon?

I had the beginnings of a campaign idea for lunar exploration a while back. In a nutshell, four empires from a homebrew planet were trying to colonize the moon. I lost my notes, but I do remember the natives were supposed to include sphinxes, moon giants, silver dragons, githyanki barbarians...

D&D 5E (2014) PC races that a DM has specifically excluded from their campaign and why

Reply to OP. I excluded dwarves from my current dark sun campaign, as I wanted to emphasize the idea of muls being dwarvenkind’s heirs. It goes without saying that my interpretation of muls can breed true.

D&D General Dumb Reasons To Get Booted From a Group.

Reply to OP. He set up the game table perpendicular to the tv screen, instead of parallel to it. EDIT There was still three feet of space between the table and the tv.

D&D General WotC: Novels & Non-5E Lore Are Officially Not Canon

So... get rid of Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms to make way for other classic but less well known settings like Spelljammer? Speaking as someone who hates Ravenloft and the Forgotten Realms, I completely agree with this article. Bring back Dark Sun!
