Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Yes, I've used APIs and databases commonly used in AI applications and projects. Done. :) Treat dumb questions with dumb answers.

D&D General DMs, how do you handle 'split party' situations?

Yeah, the attempts at keeping groups separated was something we did when we were kids and didn’t know how that’d impact the flow of the game.

D&D General DMs, how do you handle 'split party' situations?

Plenty of players are able to distinguish player knowledge from PC knowledge and personally, I find having players leave the table to be disruptive to the point of derailing the game any time that we attempted it in the past. Verisimilitude wasn’t worth the effort in that case.

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

I think that’s something that would or should be discussed prior to the game as part of a session zero, because the thought that there may be emotions felt from having to deal with evil in a game is not something that would immediately occur to me as a DM. If I’m being honest, the thought that...

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

I agree, and I don’t think it’s a heavy lift. If I think cultists in a fantasy setting, I think of dark rituals to appease some god or demon that typically involves sacrificing some intelligent being, or spreading disease or something similar. It’s not difficult to add and IMO, would be part of...

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

Well that’s the problem with those threads, frankly. I’ve not participated in that thread aside from a joke comment but I wouldn’t want someone’s comment there to represent my stance on the topic.

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

Agreed. For me, if I want a monster or faction to be evil, that removes them as a PC option. They’re the DM’s device in that case.

Dungeons & Dragons Releases New Unearthed Arcana Subclasses, Strongly Hinting at Dark Sun

Well I, for one, am happy for all the Dark Sun fans out there to get their moment after waiting as long as they have. 😁

D&D General DMs, how do you handle 'split party' situations?

I just bust out a timer and set it to two minutes and switch between the groups. Combat can be tricky but usually combats are scaled to be handled by the party, not individual PCs or small groups of PCs. Most of the time, the party that gets into combat disengages pretty quickly.

    Our Physical Fitness

Yeah, I'd say about 10 years ago I was pushing way too hard, and that was when I fell out of my routine. I was laid up with a bad back for a few weeks, and then was worried about re-injuring, but then also rushed back too quickly and DID re-injure it, and it was just a terrible cycle to get...

    Our Physical Fitness

Ha, ha, I'm 50 years old. (Thank you - you just made my day!) I'm more happy that my schedule allows me to do this pace though I try not to beat myself up if I only get 4 to 5 workouts in versus the regular 6. But seriously, lifting enough weight to feel like you lifted without breaking...

Critical Role Teases Campaign 4 World Via ARG

To be fair, the description is not that different than the casting down of the Betrayer gods in Exandria. The time frame of 70 years ago is interesting as lore like that usually is cast as ancient history.

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

I think that varies dramatically depending on the specific locations, history, politics and culture and those are seldom represented in any kind of realistic way nor is it particularly desirable in a game that I feel I or my players would find enjoyable.

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

So for my own part: 1) I don’t have an issue with this in theory, but I prefer to have distinct monsters that have reasons in game for that behavior. The purpose is that I do typically want a creature type akin to Imperial Stormtroopers who function as recognizable villains who my PCs can...

    Our Physical Fitness

I’ve got a pretty established regimen - this summer has just been the most hectic I’ve had in a long time with two kids going to college. Generally, I work out 5 to 6 days a week. Lifting - upper/lower split interspersed with a day of cardio for 45 minutes to an hour.

Some of y’all take TTRPG questions in some real weird, off topic, and potentially political directions at the drop of a hat.

    Our Physical Fitness

Well, my physical fitness for the past week has consisted of trying to “fit ness whole pizza in my mouth” but now that I’m done traveling with 12 hour car rides and eating out every night, I’m ready for some sustained work.

D&D General In 2025 FR D&D should PCs any longer be wary of the 'evil' humanoids?

You are always allowed to portray monsters however you see fit in your own game. Perhaps the question should be “Why do some people need to have the game reflect their personal preference for depicting monsters?”
