    Morality of mind control…

From a game perspective, I've never seen a case where toxicity came into play when a game-defined poison wasn't involved. Yes, in the real world, salt, vitamins, just plain water...all of these can be toxic in right circumstances, but I've never seen a case where that had any bearing on the...

    Morality of mind control…

I feel that way because certain word choices indicate to me whether this is a person I really want to have a discussion with. Framing someone's opinion as "corrupting" tells me this might not be a very useful conversation.

    This seems highly dramatic.

    Morality of mind control…

Right, so from a semantics POV, I think what’s being said relative to the thread is that poison or poisoning someone is about intent - did you intend to use that substance as a means of harm? Whether something is a poison or not is kinda besides the point. It also goes back to how much real...

    Spoilers THUNDERBOLTS* (spoilers I guess?)

lol, I did like that part especially when they realized they didn’t think thru the last part of the plan.

    Morality of mind control…

In medicine, doctors, nurses and emergency workers do not tend to talk in terms of what is or is not a poison. Nearly any substance can be a poison in the wrong dose over a course of time, I.E. water intoxication.

D&D General D&D is now Steampunk (poll)

Americas, plural, usually refers to both North and South America when I read it, which is often in a business context.

    Spoilers THUNDERBOLTS* (spoilers I guess?)

Went back and read that. To me, it didn’t feel that way, or at least it wasn’t successful. Story wise, they hadn’t set up any stakes as of yet. They had just introduced the character (in this movie. I remember her backstory from Black Widow.) It felt more like some tidying up of characters than...

    Spoilers THUNDERBOLTS* (spoilers I guess?)

Taskmaster getting killed off was like “Why?” And all I could think of was they wanted it to feel like Suicide Squad and after that I couldn’t shake the comparison. Not a bad Marvel movie but I need more stuff like Fantastic Four.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

There is a serious uptick in people who just want to hear themselves talk (or whatever the forum equivalent of that is).

    Our Physical Fitness

I’m the same way. The more I have to think about a lift, and the more I hear people say take videos or have someone check your form, the more I’m just not likely to do that lift. There’s others that don’t require all that stuff.

Oooh, yes. Great example. Still one of the best villains Marvel ever put on screen!

D&D General D&D is now Steampunk (poll)

Certain people may not know what he means. I think you’re being a bit dogmatic in pinning down what is and is not the steampunk aesthetic, particularly when it comes to accurately defining what is Victorian vs Edwardian or Late Georgian.

D&D General D&D is now Steampunk (poll)

I actually would prefer that more in D&D than some of the bland Magic Crystal battery imagery.

    Morality of mind control…

I think in fantasy and sci-fi, there’s a certain level of the ends justifying the means. It may be immoral but not necessarily Evil if it’s used for a greater good. Obviously this works in fiction as long as someone doesn’t want to pull on the moral thread too much. If we can rationalize killing...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Ahhh, yeah, it's probably just not an area I'm as familiar with.

I haven’t seen it with Star Trek as much, interestingly enough.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I think there are also people who go from thread to thread seeking confrontation and then carry that forward into other threads and interactions that should've been relatively benign. Sometimes it's just their problem.
