TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Apologies. I can see why that would be a bad idea and have edited my post to remove that request.

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Yep, I totally get what you're saying. Any large company will have people with enough differing views that there will be someone you don't agree with. However, in this situation Ernie is a business partner with them and that person is making, or has made, a lot of very public comments about...

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Ok, that may be my ignorance there as I don't really pay a lot of attention to OSR stuff and don't have much of an idea of who the other 3 guys are. Edited.

Yeah, I agree. No issues with someone not agreeing with the design decisions that WotC are making.

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Yeah, I was expecting much worse that what I actually saw. Jim seems to feel that WotC should make D&D the way Gary wanted it to be, even though Gary sold off D&D decades ago.

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

I’m amazed at how naive Ernie seems to be. If we put the anti-trans comments he made aside for a second, Ernie seems to think that being a business partner with someone making horrible comments is fine because “it’s just business”. You are the friends you keep and working with people with views...

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Happy to see that Jayson Elliot has realised that the TSR name has been tarred beyond recognition and that people won’t be able to understand that he is not the same company as the Justin/Ernie TSR. It’s just sad that his efforts got wrecked simply because he overlooked renewing a licence and...

TSR TSR (2) Confirms TSR (3)'s Acquisition of Trademark (Updated!)

What’s the next level above dumpster fire and train wreck? At this point I feel like Ernie and Justin have taken their train and gone full speed ahead at the biggest dumpster fire they could find.

TSR TSR (2) Confirms TSR (3)'s Acquisition of Trademark (Updated!)

You say that, but in the same post make several comments talking about how he’s a pawn and been led astray, which to me is saying that he’s not that bad, he’s just been influenced by bad people. I judge people on their actions and it is clear to me that Ernie, or anyone making the statements...

TSR TSR (2) Confirms TSR (3)'s Acquisition of Trademark (Updated!)

Ernie’s not a little kid. The dude is in his 50’s or 60’s. You sound like you’re trying to make Ernie out as a poor misunderstood person who was easily led astray, rather than a grown man who made a number of anti-trans comments (among several other questionable things).

TSR TSR (2) Confirms TSR (3)'s Acquisition of Trademark (Updated!)

Yep, although it seems that Ernie doesn’t respect things like copyright and trademarks anyway.

TSR TSR (2) Confirms TSR (3)'s Acquisition of Trademark (Updated!)

Whoops I got Jayson and Justin mixed up. I have edited my post to correct that, but I think that just shows the problem. I read all about it and still got them mixed up, so that's going to happen a lot and Jayson's name will get sullied as a result.

TSR TSR (2) Confirms TSR (3)'s Acquisition of Trademark (Updated!)

It depends what TSR you're talking about. TSR 3 is Ernie, acquired by naughty word means. Also, most people will not understand the difference between the two TSRs and just think they are one and the same company. Jayson Elliot is going to be collateral damage in this. Edit: Got my Jaysons and...

This whole TSR train wreck just keeps piling up. Try digging up Ernie!

Worlds of Design: To Move or Not to a New Edition?

I went from AD&D to 3E as soon as it came out and switched to 3.5E as soon as that came out. However, I skipped 4E completely (although a player in my group DM's a couple of 4E campaigns for other players in my group - I didn't play in it as I couldn't fit a second game into my schedule). For...

RPG Crowdfunding News – 5e Oz, Defiant, Synthicide, and more

Cheers for that. As you may have guessed from my comment, I've not seen the MLP series. That actually makes sense. It an "A wizard did it" explanation, but an explanation nonetheless.

Ok, my one question is how the heck are those ponies drinking cups of tea using their hooves?

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Live: Kate Welch returns with Jack Black, Reggie Watts and others!

That looks like a really cool game, both in terms of the creative people at the table and all the fantastic stuff Joe has for the game. Plus listening to the players, they sound like they really enjoy it, which is awesome in and of itself.

D&D 5E (2014) D&D Live: Kate Welch returns with Jack Black, Reggie Watts and others!

If it gets more people playing D&D, I’m ok with that.

That’s a pretty strong lineup. I guess celebs playing D&D is very mainstream now.
