I had a bunch of runs with Forgettable Realms but during that particular period I was heavily homebrewing. I didnt RPG for a few years while I played DDO. Afterwards, I really got into Golarion and PF1.

IDK, if resistant is the right word. Id go more with disinterested. Dungeons and Dragons Online (DDO) actually really warmed me up to the setting.

Id take a scalpel to 3E/PF1 and add bounded accuracy to it.

I will say after playing Masks, I can enjoy Supers in narrative focused games. I do not want to play one, however, in what recently was described as tall progression designed RPG such as 5E.
