D&D 5E (2014) The multiclass cleric-cleric (aka the follower of two gods)

The simplest way to worship 2 gods is if they get along and grant the same domain. In that case nothing changes rules wise. each god just contributes a percentage of the power needed for each spell. If they grant difrent domains it can get more dificult and you can end up with uninteded...

D&D 5E (2014) Solving the problem of initiative.

you could move to a system with a declaration phase and a action phase like WOD and ADnD 2nd has. Where tle lowest in the initative order declares his intended action first, so the people declaring later can react to the actions declared by characters slower then them. Disadvantage of this is...

    D&D 5E (2014) Paladin Predictions

I guess there is a good chance of seeing a healer paladin. I like that they seem to have some healers not from the traditional classes. Many groups feal that there should be a healer in the group, meaning that sombody had to be a cleric or druid ( the bard is also a option in this edition) But...

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

AM I reading it wong ? So the the last word in the ability that alouws you to add the d4 is attack and not atack action. so you only add the damage to one attack if this one attack has multipe targets you add it to al of them. If it was intended to add 1d4 to all atacks during the atack action...

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

But the ability does not it sais : If you make an unarmed strike as part of the Attack action on your turn and are holding a kensei weapon, you can use that weapon to defend yourself. You gain a +2 bonus to AC For many of the other abilities it sais wield but for this one is specificly sais...

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

The Kensai runs in the problem of when are you holding a weapon and when are you wielding it. Does it only coult as wielding if you attack with the weapon ? If so you could just hold it for the +2 ac and use your martial arts feature normaly.

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

so what about a Kensai using a shortsword? A shortsword is a monk weapon as listed in the martial arts ability in the PHB. But it is also a martial weapon and the Kensei sais "A martial weapon is considered a kensei weapon for you if you’re proficient with it. So is the shortsword the only...

UA Monks Introduces the Kensai and Tranquility Traditions

I find this wording in the kensai a bit strange. dealing an additional 1d4 bludgeoning damage to that target and to any other target you hit with the weapon as part of the Attack. But you don't have abilities that allouw you to damage more then 1 target with a attack, almost making me wonder...

D&D 5E (2014) What are people hoping for in Monk UA?

To me the monk seems the best class to re create many character from fightring games like Streetfighter and Mortal combat. For example a monk that can stretch his body could be interesting like Dhalsim from streetfighter ( spenfing Ki to get reach)

Minis or Theatre of the Mind? (Survey)

in our group theatre of mind tends to bog down in dicusion/confusion about exact positioning. So ploping down some minis is usualy faster.

    D&D 5E (2014) Hive mind help?

Maybe it would be more like a message board or forum then google. You go on the board becouse you have a question and take the following steps. 1) See who is online and send a direct message if you think one of those people might know the awnser. 2) Make a tread and check back later if sombody...

    D&D 5E (2014) Rebuilding a city

Historicly many houses where owned by the lords who owned the land. They build them becouse they wanted to attract people to work their lands, so basicly payed rent in the form of labor. Even during the industrial revolution there where factories that build housing nest to the factories to...

D&D 5E (2014) Next up is Fighter, what do you want from UA?

Looking at it from mecanics some things might be intresting. A subclass that uses versitile weapons, and has abilities based on if he is using one or 2 handed stance. Maybe also a figter subclass that uses smaller weapons like dagers or hand axes and can also trow them.

    D&D 5E (2014) UA Druid Speculation/Wishlists

Maybe ths s along the lne of what people call the where drud. But a drud that can partualy shape shft or shft parts of hs body could be interestng. so nstead of changng in a venemous snake just grow the fangs and get the bite attack. This way you could adopt intrestng features from the low hp...

D&D 5E (2014) What Arcane Traditions would you like to see

maybe some kind of life/light/positive energy wizard, that would have access to healing spells. It could be a interesting option for when you want to build a world without gods but still want the party to be able to have a dedicated healer.

D&D 5E (2014) Volo's Guide to Monsters Hobgoblins: You would think there are many cities.

Intresting you mention Spartans becouse I think of the hobgoblins would build a nation it would be a lot like Sparta. in spartan society there where 3 classes Spartiates (ruling warior class), Periokoi ( free men mostly craftsmen with no voting rights) , Herlots ( slaves/serfs ) Spartiates...

D&D 5E (2014) Time Travel and forced time paradoxes

Well was the paladin a member of a long existing order in the time where he came from ? If so when he returns to his original time and becomes more important within his order he might be allouwed in on the secrets of the order, and discovering the order was funded becouse of the things they did...
