To me Int is also the stat used for remembering things. For example if I drop a name of a NPC that the player characters met before, and see that the players don't remember interligence checks are a way to see if the characters do remember.

I think you might be mixing up High fantasy and high magic. Also Eberon is magepunk not steampunk there is no technolegy like steam engines everything is magic powered. The base asumption in mage punk is that magic took the place of scientific asvancement made in the real world.

I love immovable rods so many uses for them. Also love the instan fortress. And you can have fun combining the 2, use fly spel, fly up high make a fioundation of immovable rods place your instant fortress on the foundation.
