An LLM cannot be creative, but other programs that are at least closer to AI could, and that might utilize LLMs as a component. LLMs are a very specific thing. That some people can't tell the difference is a whole different issue.

Within the RPG context, there is a huge amount of purely human work already, so it'd not like there's a gap to fill anyway. WotC already produces a lot fewer rulebooks and adventures than other major companies, so it's not like they're running low on human talent to keep up the pace.

It's good at generating generic, common code, it's going to struggle with robust, complicated code, because as with math it doesn't actually understand anything. It's handy for getting started, but programmers will still need to understand what they're doing and apply actual programming skills.
