    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Cartoon Character Stats & Magic Items

I haven't read any of the updated lore on these characters but in my head, the new character has an Earth connection to the others, a spouse or co-worker. Now that Niko is trapped with them, it answers so many of her questions. I like this idea so much, I'm hesitant to read the lore and find...

RPG Print News – Troll Lord Games, Cubicle 7, and More

I enjoyed C&C back in the day and don’t think it gets enough love. If I did start a new C&C campaign, I’d seriously think of using Amazing instead.

Starfinder Check Out Starfinder 2E's High Level Playtest

When I was strictly a consumer, I'd bristle at the idea of paying for a playtest document. But seeing how hard it is to get playtesters for a game with no branding as compared to suddenly getting volunteers to playtest and offer comments on a minor IP. I don't blame a company leveraging the...

WizKids to Release Edge of the Realms, New D&D Map-Building Game

More importantly, does come with scale measurement so we can translate the finished board to hex map? :ROFLMAO: Or you could simple shift every other row down half a square.

Scions of Elemental Evil Released on D&D Beyond

You might want to point to some of the content creators and 3PP as well. While some of them would see a new edition as way to repackage what they have done before, others are also very happy to keep cashing in their DTRPG credit for things that keep selling evergreen.

Scions of Elemental Evil Released on D&D Beyond

So they are now tripling down on the cartoon. I don't know why it didn't click before but now I see the 80s nostalgia focus. Maybe we'll have a 80s cosplay celebration. Play 5e in our leg warmers and over teased hair.

The Legend of Vox Machina Renewed for Fourth Season

And they even had a movie studio no less. But evidently "under monetized" meant more D&D subscriptions vs merchandizing.

Discworld's Headed For A Million Dollars!

I feel comedy and horror share that ttrpg aspect where you need 100% player buy in at the table. All it takes is the "one guy," who is essentially premise rejecting the genre, to have the comedy or horror fall slightly if not totally flat.

Discworld's Headed For A Million Dollars!

Or perhaps just not take your game too seriously and have a few drinks? Everyone at my table cracks each other up every week. Putting us in Diskworld would be like spritzing the table with kerosene and peppering it with matchheads. Comedy can also be personal. I doubt anyone not in our group...

Halloween: D4 Zombie RPGs to Try

In some ways, Palladium was to AD&D as d20 Modern was to 3e.

Free League to Release Path of Glory for Dragonbane

"Coming to the legendary Dead Forest in search of treasure, glory and a solution to the ancient curse laying waste to the forest, the adventurers soon find themselves embroiled in an epic conflict reaching back to the very foundations of the world. The quest will take the adventurers through the...

Free League to Release Path of Glory for Dragonbane

For question 2. Path is a continuation of the boxed campaign and suggests the minimum requirements a PC needs to participate or they might find the campaign quite a bit tougher. That also answers Question 1 in part because as a continuation, it inherently has to use some elements from the...

Free League to Release Path of Glory for Dragonbane

This was not part of the kickstarter, but Dragonbane was so successful, Free League moved up the deadline on this book, a bestiary, and a stand alone core book to this year to feed the demand.

Free League to Release Path of Glory for Dragonbane

The book won't hit retail until November. The public copies are pre-orders that are being shipped for the last couple of weeks (I got my copy early.) I think this campaign may become the go-to for Dragonbane.

Peregrine’s Nest: A Cheater’s Guide to Dice Rolls

I just saw this recently when I was running an open table at a game store. I had one fellow who become a regular but had to constantly cheat. This was a grittier fantasy game so were also lots of choices the group had to make between who was on watch, who got to sleep, etc. He always tried to...

Follow-up: Longshoreman Strike Ends After Three Days

How long ago was the Wire? 'Cause this was literally part of the plot for one season and I am surprised it's still going on since then.

Kosmosaurs Is A Sugary Blast Of Saturday Morning Action

True! Their 3pp license has allowed for several successful kickstarters that provided full-fledged settings. I think the complaints on the Dragonbane setting are a bit over the top for what is obviously a trope-heavy setting. Somedays you just need to know which forest is the elf HQ and which...

D&D General Multiple Officially Licensed Dungeons & Dragons Accessories Announced

I didn't know "inclusion dice" was even their name. I've never gotten any as I figured they were more for show than actually being random number generators. These tempt me though

Kosmosaurs Is A Sugary Blast Of Saturday Morning Action

Poor Free League's back to basic fantasy rpg can't win in this regard. It is a stripped down, "This is a valley that used to be part of an empire where dragons fought demons and everyone else was caught in the middle. Now it has opened up, you are looking for treasure." While some GM can work...

Follow-up: Longshoreman Strike Ends After Three Days

Sadly because for many of us, the rule of "I got mine, so why should I care about you?" prevails. It's a corollary to the America business justification of, "Well, if I don't make my fortune off this or that morally questionable thing, someone else will. We can't have that!"
