Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive TTRPG Makes $1M In Under An Hour

The actual pic gives me Rifter vibes as well.

Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive TTRPG Makes $1M In Under An Hour

Honestly, I found many of the images in the KS to be spoiler-ly. Say what you want about Sanderson, he presented fully engrossing world AND then he revealed an even deeper universe.

Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive TTRPG Makes $1M In Under An Hour

I opine that the primer is a big draw for the KS for fans who won't ever pick up a die will buy the set for the system agnostic primer alone. However, those people also love pretty books on their shelves so they won't be so mad about having those gorgeous ttrpg books either way.

RPG Evolution: Hike Like a Hero

I’ve lost count on how many new GMs want to make sprawling continents as their first map or for a West Marches game. Few, if any of them, believe me that just a few valleys will do for our project unless we want to use teleport pads.

Graphic Design Layout Artists: The Reason TTRPGs Look Great

Graphic design and layout should definitely get more props. You can more easily promote a mediocre game with great presentation than you can a great game with poor presentation.

WotC WotC Removes Digital Content Team Credits From D&D Beyond

The expectation of where you might get a credit or byline changes across different publishing industries. For some some it is automatic, like journalism or fiction. It seem in ttrpg, it changes by publisher. It's something that has only really come to the fore in the last decade but it's always...

WotC WotC Removes Digital Content Team Credits From D&D Beyond

This is part of a challenge of running a corporate company like WotC. We have a new guy coming in who may/may not be trying to turn a new leaf and these shenanigans may have happened two CEOs ago but no one noticed for years - or it could have been yesterday.

WotC WotC Removes Digital Content Team Credits From D&D Beyond

As we all know that for many readers/gamers, any names in the Credits or next to the Byline is invisible and the only people who usually care about these things are industry professionals or super fans - who usually become the next generation of creatives. (And I'll raise my hand as being guilty...

ENNIE Award Dream Date Guide 2024

Seeing as writers/designer names and their gamer cred is invisible to most readers/gamers, you are doing the Lord's work.

RPG Evolution: Teaching D&D to Scouts … Again

I was fortunate enough to have a DM who provided my Level 5 goblin a severely wounded, sickly dragon to fight and then claim the title of Dragonslayer. My whole table kept laughing about it for the rest of the night.

RPG Evolution: Teaching D&D to Scouts … Again

My first exposure to D&D was a week long summer camp. We used chits instead of dice.

    Space: 1999 Coming From Modiphius

I remember buying a few tanks from them as they were right scale for WW II wargaming only a few years ago.

RPG Evolution: Teaching D&D to Scouts … Again

I was a bit surprised you had starting players at level 8. Before my friend, Bryan Dalrymple - FLGS store owner and 20 year secretary for GAMA- passed away, we were running a "Story Time" at the local library. We used the system agnostic D&D "A Young Adventurer's Guide" series to guide them...

Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk Podcast #307

I always thought C&C should get more love, especially from the OSR crowd as it was one of the original retroclones. Though I suspect it is in part that C&C never went OGL or community content.

    Space: 1999 Coming From Modiphius

I could be wrong but I think Farscape only got one supplement at most. And at the time, it was the only decent episode guide for the series. I also recall this being the IP that broke AEG from doing more IP ttrpgs as the approval process took a long time. I've heard from old timers that...

    D&D 5E (2024) 3,000 Player's Handbooks Available At Gen Con

That makes even more sense as Gamehole Con is in October and that's where WotC puts in just as much effort for a much smaller con.

    Space: 1999 Coming From Modiphius

There's a kickstarter for a legally distinct Miami Vice type game and while I can't name any, I remember seeing quite a few indies that aim for that neon light, sockless vibe. https://www.enworld.org/threads/miami-86-rpg-upcoming-ttrpg-inspired-by-miami-vice-scarface-and-vice-city.705493/

    Space: 1999 Coming From Modiphius

I barely remember the show (the Dragon's Domain episode scared the crap out of little me), but thought the ships were cool and realistic for the time period (in my boyhood judgement.) I didn't even know the same production house also did Thunderbirds until today.

    D&D 5E (2024) 3,000 Player's Handbooks Available At Gen Con

I'm not a fan of lines and this one will be out the door so I'll be patient and get when I can get it. To all those get one to use and enjoy, I send you much gamer love. For those scalping it AND are rude in line? Bad form! Bad form!
