Strangely, my quirk regarding the ending of books extend to some long series; I can easily stop in the middle of seasons 4-5 without ever returning to finish it. Now, stopping after a single season? That's just being a tease, not worth engaging!

Agreed. But if I may before I stop this tangent: it may be your posting style, but the way you express your opinion may look to most readers wayyyyyy past "pointing problems and be concerned".

There seems to be an awful lot of "problem", "duty", "blame", "fault" for something that's only supposed to be a fun game night with friends. I would not tolerate this kind of load at an actual paying job!

I think its mostly insecurity regarding the place of the DM anytime new rules come out. People tends to get defensive if they see something new stepping on their turf, even if that new thing is a tool that supposed to help them. Just a pretty human thing. They'll get over it and make peace...

Yup. I don't mind finishing those I don't like much, but I always keep a little padding at the end of books I find pretty good. Now, to be honest, by the time I reach my cutting off point, the action is mostly resolved, so I have a good idea of how the book ends, but with a fun little space...

I might be weird, but I just can't do movies, be it in cinema or at home. I always feel it's rushed or the pacing is off. A movie is the same length as 2-3 series episodes, not much time for much development and immersion. Buy I'm also the weirdo that refuses to read the ~80 last pages of any...

So far it looks pretty good. Gotta be proud! I always hesitate about how to create my own heartbreaker: create a large houserules and mods catalog OR start from the ground up and create each elements to my taste.

I think some of you are overthinking it and drowning in a sea of hypothetical tables doing hypothetical things with rules we haven't seen yet. To me this just look like an easily ignored glow-up of the "running a shop/stronghold" barebone rules from the 2014 DMG.

After listening to some videos, I can say with confidence that the 2024 PHB sold exactly 3 books, 2 of which were bought by Crawford's mom.

I removed them from the weapon list and added them to the general items list next to nets and hunters traps. They are used to deliver poison or toxic alchemical reagent at distance.
