Hmm. Do you mean that individual books get bound by the GSL, instead of product lines?

I did know about the Tome of Horrors, but only because I read it on your website. :p I just read that Necromancer Games are going over to 4th edition. So the GSL will stop them selling Tome of Horrors. I'll have to grab a copy quick. I can't find any information from Sword and Sorcery Studios...

    Proud of myself. ;)

I think the main problem with Wikipedia is editors who don't understand the importance of citations. Once you get the message through everyone can do it. It takes a bit longer, but only needs to be done once. And adding the citations certainly helps other people check your work. How about...

    anyone converted the Alu-Fiend yet?

I would like to see 3rd edition get finished first. The current GSL agreement would seem to prevent this from being done if a single 4th edition monster is created. However, the fan site agreement may change this weird rule. I bet the Pathfinder RPG fans would also love a conversion project...

Complete D&D Monster Index (June 2008)

It is blind luck that I found it while looking for some SJ related stuff about a god creating a crystal sphere. And I wouldn't have expected to find a monster embedded into the middle of a chapter (when most things have them at the end). I suppose the chicken was also hidden somewhere similar.

    Spelljammer Unconverted Spelljammer creatures

Inaii (winged horses) - SJQ1 Heart of the Enemy I mentioned these in another thread (Echohawk's D&D Index), but though I would mention them again, in case anyone needed to know what page they are on. They are on pages 69 and 70, but also reference something elsewhere. These winged horses are...

Complete D&D Monster Index (June 2008)

Possible Missing Monster: Inaii - SJQ1 Heart of the Enemy I just found what might count as an additional missing monster (as it has crunch in the description). It is called the inaii and is a type of flying horse. It is mostly similar to the pegasi. However there are some differences...

    Converting Maztica and Horde monsters

To convert, or not to convert. That is the queston. :p

Thanks for the heads-up on the indexing process. Now I know how to tell if something that isn't here is missing or not.

    Travel

...and... Welcome back - both of you. Hope you like what people did with the monsters while you were away. :D It was great. It was just like a re-enactment of the Wizards of the Coast 4th edition announcement. ;)

Special Conversion Thread: Finishing off giants and their kin

I don't like the part of the poison that kills people. I would rather have a poison that puts people into a coma. If they don't wake up they would eventually starve to death anyway. The other ability seems to be "inherited" from an undead ability. Is there an undead poison that knocks people...

Special Conversion Thread: Finishing off giants and their kin

It looks good, but this sentence looks wrong: "Stone trolls are not bothered sunlight like many other trolls." This could be taken to mean "Stone trolls, like many other trolls, are not bothered by sunlight." I know that is not what you mean, but I think the sentence needs a tweak. I would go...

Converting Al-Qadim and Oriental Adventures creatures

I'd guess this was built off of the type of dragon that has six limbs instead of four limbs. The picture shows the second arms having spikey elbows. Should they do anything (i.e. alternate attack method with less damage), or are they just there to look good? The extra arms at the top don't...

Special Conversion Thread: Finishing off the oozes

As part of the conversion, I think we should let people know (maybe in a sidebar) how to restore the dead victim to life. Dismissing/banishing the transformed arucha would be one step in this process. You need a slight delay (in order for the "new arucha" to be born), but apart from that, I'd...

    Proud of myself. ;)

The proper citations definatly make D&D research a little easier. This is exactly what these articles need. If only the delitionists who were trying to get rid of all the D&D articles were tagging them for improvement (instead of trying to uncreate them) the wikipedians would probably have had...

I wonder if we can wikify the Creature Catalogue conversions or get Echohawk to put up the D&D Monster Index. If these were wikified we could end up with something that works like the Hypertext d20 SRD. And if the Creature Catalogue was wikified people could wikilink all of the monster skills...

    Broken links

I used to moderate a vBulletin forum and I could never remember the proper format for those tags. It is burried deep in the vBulletin FAQ, but I could never be bothered to surf around. I think most people are also to lazy and most links will always be URLs. But here are the thread and post...

    Creature Crypt

I suppose you could. The ESD Conversion Agreement allow you to convert everything to 3rd edition. Deciding to not convert things is just a matter of "politeness". I suppose people might want to take things that have been tied in with one campaign setting (like Forgotten Realms) and make more...

Complete D&D Monster Index (June 2008)

That is a very good question. Is it a monster? I'd say yes. Is it D&D. I'd say yes. So it is a very good candidate to get included, even though the fluff text is just a spin on the original fluff text. But then again, I suppose it would be very easy to stick six dozen D&D human groups into...

Complete D&D Monster Index (June 2008)

I'm pretty sure one or two of the computer software download providers allow people to host non-software projects on their systems. Maybe it would be worth hunting one down. I forget which one I saw that did this, but it was one of the places like MajorGeeks. Have you tried asking the...
