Maybe I wasn't clear. I hate that potions burn your surge for a fixed amount of HP independent of your Surge Value. I love healing surges, but potions in 4e really suck IMHO, specially for defenders. I think they should give HP based on your surge value, even if it's a fraction of it.

I agree with your general point, but just for clarity, healing potions in 4e are still a fixed amount of HP, they burn one of your surges to recover a fixed amount of HP. I always hated that.

I’m not advocating for more, but it’s hard to expand on my comment without talking more about part 2. To me they showed violence when violence told an important part of the story on season 1, not gratuitously.

Now, broadly speaking about season 2… I think they will tone down the violence porn even more than they did here

Healing surges are a great metric to see when you need a long rest too. I feel like 5e set everything up to do healing surges (eith hit dice giving you amole design space) but gave up half of the way there.

Tormenta20, a brazillian fantasy setting has a rather elegant solution for this problem. Any ability that is considered magicar has a dragon symbol next to it's description, so you now that anything that affects spells also affects that ability. I find this to be a simple and effective solution.

I thought it was a fine movie, but the third act, and mainly the last 15 minutes are some of the best star wars we've ever gotten. It actually improves de viewing of episode 4 in my opinion.
