Why people assume there are demands being made or any kind of animosity? This was a summit where wotc asked the creators to ask them questions, even the harder ones because they want to regain the creators trust... A creator made a question about their mental health plans, they said they didn't...

Yeah, people were misrepresenting what she said, so she set the record straight. And then people still are trying to make it seem like she is saying something she is not saying.

I agree with you here, but I kind of like the NPCs too, and normally used their stat blocks for my variations on thieves, mages, soldiers... just scrath-off the name and we are good to go :)

Maybe I didn't understand the statement correctly but it uses the (inacurate) fact that she is not a writer , an artist or a designer(she is) as a reason for assuming she is using the word freelancer wrong.

just that I know of, she worked on candlekeep misteries, she worked for them playing on their live streamed games, she made videos with them...

Why can't a content creator do freelance work for a company? Wotc doesn't use freelance workers just for creating their books... Do people think everyone of the gorgeous people who present their videos are their employes?

content creators can work as freelancers, and wotc uses them a lot. Most of their anouncement videos feature creators in a freelance capacity. I don't understand, why are we assuming she is using a word wrong if the case is that she is using the word correctly her request makes more sense and...

Sure there could be a liability thing, but I don't like to assume things, so I can only respond to the information we already have.

But even if she means any content creator that makes D&D content at all, I don't think it would be a huge ask for WotC to share their free resources and lists of places to get help. I don't think wotc would be required to so, but it would help with their connection and good relationship with...

well, that's a clarification that would have to be asked directly to her. I'm assuming she is using the more commonly used meaning of freelancer here.

Comming from a place of assuming good faith on all parties, from their response in the summit it seems this wasn't in Wotc's radar and they want creators to tell them how they can help with this issue, more than not wanting to do it for liability issues.
