Tell me about it! I’m up in the Merrimack Valley and the closest game I can find online is down in Somerville, which is outside of my desired commute range. If only I could find another gaming group up here, I would finally be able to play again (instead of DMing for a bunch of 12 year olds).
Human
Dwarf
Elf
Halfling
Gnome
Aasimar
Genasi
Tiefling
Orc
Tabaxi*
*I had a hard time deciding between Goliath and Tabaxi, but I can live without Dragonborn.
Oh, yeah, definitely. No sense in fixing something that might not be broken. But if it does wind up needing to be houseruled, at least I’ll have a foundation to start from.
That would certainly prevent combat from getting bogged down too much. Or maybe: if your Attack Roll exceeds the target’s AC by X or more, the target is knocked prone. I don’t know off the top of my head what value X should be. 5 seems too frequent, but 10 seems too rare. I’ll have to ponder...
I have a vague recollection that they said they were doing away with these Disease mechanics because diseases were virtually nonexistent in 5e. The only 2 diseases I can think of a vampirism and lycanthropy.
One more thing I’ll add about this particular version is that I find it to be the most similar to what is in the 3.5 Expanded Psionics Handbook (if you’re familiar with that).
I for one will continue to call it Twitter. "X" sounds like a name a 14 year old came up with because he was desperately trying to make himself sound cool.
I'm pretty sure we had a massive poll thread here that showed ~53% intend to buy it.
What @schneeland posted in Post #9 is how I think Tabaxi look (Khajiit from Elder Scrolls). Or, you know, the actual art from the book:
For the record, Type 4 is more Leonin from Mythic Odysseys of Theros
I think it's peculiar that they have wall of fire, wall of force, wall of ice, wall of stone, and wall of thorns. But it's wind wall, rather than wall of wind.
Edit: also wall of light, wall of sand, and wall of water from XGE
