    The new Battlestar

It is about 30 more powerfull then the current standard 1 megaton. One thing about large bombs is that after a certain size the loss effeciency quickly. Note most N-bombs while very destructive don't have a very large blast radius when compared to a city or a planet. I remember once reading...

Rate the stereotype - do you raid dungeons?

Does a stream of encounter where you are fighting a covert war in the streets of a town count? Where to get form point A to point B you know you are going to have to cut your way thourgh not only corrupt city guards but enemy and rival groups. Where by day things are peaceful but full of...

Books you get a suprising amount of use from

Stargate SG-1. Bought the book for my wife as a joke. She is a big Stargate fan. Never thought that my group (we hate guns/love magic, no modern stuff for us) would like it. Now every one is solidly into it, and we have gone from one copy to four.

    When good roleplayers rebel...

If all you need to get the campain back on track is to have the Characters cross to a different land, just have the vallian flee at some point to where you want them to head. Give them enough info so they know roughly where he is head. They will most likely chase him. If not, he can be a pain...

The book you were all excited to get... and now gathering dust...

Mine are the 3.0 and 3.5 core books. We finaly got burned out on D&D after 20 years. So off we go to Stargate SG-1. Yea, for d20, It has saved lots of effort trying to learn a new system from ground up. It also has allowe me to use Dragon Star and other d20 books, even though I am not...

Austin Games Day-January 24, 2004--Calling all GMs and players

Count me as in D20's game. I have already sent him a character concept.

    To Mystically-Modernize Spycraft?

Yea, and at the same time the average NPC could take down most characters about as easly as a character could take them down. Timing, planning and skill was needed to succed. Your correct hard to do with either Spycraft or D20 Modern. So maybe pick the one that is closer to the feel you wanted.

    Stargate Rpg

According to what I have read over on the official board is the following: Additional information that was cut from or not used in the script for time/space constrants. Game stats for all of the NPC's and lots of the new equipement shown. Possible story hooks for follow up on the episods...

    To Mystically-Modernize Spycraft?

Yes, I have. While I will agree with the precieved power level, it also has the low power gritty feel. I will admint that it could just as easliy have felt different for you. Most of my characters where getting shot up and had a hard time on the so called easy runs. Could well have been the...

Austin Games Day-January 24, 2004--Calling all GMs and players

Yes I want a Slot, but will take what you have left. Just let me know. I know that my wife will set in on the game. Since few people seems to have the books I will provide Characters. (Makes it easier to run.:))

    To Mystically-Modernize Spycraft?

D20 Modern might be closer. After ready several threads that compare the to, the big diffrent that most who have played both is the power level. Spycraft is one James Bond/Sherlock Homes level while D20 M. is closer to Hillstreet Blues and other lower power/gritter games. While Shadowrun...

    Stargate Rpg

Let me repeat it... Overall, the book was good. The pros outweigh the cons. The cons are easily fixed with house rules. If you admit the existence of pros and cons, admit the perceptions will vary from game to game, then i cannot get why you would object to people house ruling away their...

    Stargate Rpg

Nor can I see letting some one who has a 150 round clip empty it in 6 sec from a submachine gun and that is exactly what your method would allow. Going from a TV Show to a RPG requires compromises. This is just one of them. If you don't like the compromise then thats fine, but stating it is...

    Stargate Rpg

The orginals were bad as far as been true to the show. They are blanced but don't come close to the show's. I personnaly think that once the first two or three books are out this is going to be an excellent setting/system.

    Stargate Rpg

Having played it several sessions I can tell you that it is fine system and does catch the general feel of the show. Since the previous post have covered most of the pros and cons I will give you my groups impressions after playing around 40 hours and three combats. The skill system is well...

    Austin, TX Game Day

I have a short Stargate game to run and introduce the setting/game to those who are intreseded. Note if you want to see how Spycraft works then it will do for that as it is based on Spycraft. I would need about a week's warning.

    Austin, TX Game Day

I would not mind running a Stargate D20 game.
