    D&D 5E (2014) How many short rests?

As others have said it's all up to the players the world keep moving around the. It's one of the strategic decision points in the game. The things with the short rest dependant class is that they are 'fine' even without short rests (though I don't know about the worlock). Warder

D&D 5E (2014) Monster Manual and Players Hand Book Power Levels

From your mouth to the ears of God, what I wouldn't do to be 20 again... *sigh* Just for the record, you trying to belittle me by calling me little dude is a passive/aggressive Attack, doesn't really faze me though... Any way, as of today I have under my belt almost 60 hours of playing with...

D&D 5E (2014) Monster Manual and Players Hand Book Power Levels

I'm not an old grog and from your posts it seems like you haven't played the game... and i I don't have any buddy mods around here, so instead of trying to attack those who say that by the standards of the community you are wrong either give concrete examples from actual game play that will...

D&D 5E (2014) Should Hunter's mark (Ranger spell) drop Concentration requirement?

D&D 5E (2014) Should Hunter's mark (Ranger spell) drop Concentration requirement?

Having played a ranger for some time now I think that it's fine as it is. he is a beast in combat, easily dishing tons of damage, I once even managed to one shot an Ogre! (Crit but still) and he is the point man when it comes to leading the party through the wilderness. Making hunter's mark a...

D&D 5E (2014) Monster Manual and Players Hand Book Power Levels

Don't do it, it's a mind numbing exercise and it will alienate your players, one of the selling points of 5e is the fact that you don't need an excel sheet to run your character in high levels. In the end, big numbers are an illusion, and they are actually bad fo the game as it is written, you...

D&D 5E (2014) Monster Manual and Players Hand Book Power Levels

Welcome to the joys of bounded accuracy. In the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons monsters are different from each other not by their AC and saving throws bt by how much damage they can dish out and how much damage they can sustain. Another thing to remember is it in fifth edition the...

D&D 5E (2014) 5th edition Monster Manual: I think the really nice art detracts from the mediocre functionality of the book.

They didnt, I'm saying that it reads to me like a creature catalogue, building monsters should be in the DMG, it's the DM purview. Warder

D&D 5E (2014) 5th edition Monster Manual: I think the really nice art detracts from the mediocre functionality of the book.

I think it's brilliant, it's an easy thing to use if you want to. Personaly I can't wait for the DMG for rules of adding character levels for monsters, I got an old criteria in one of my old campaign that is a black dragones sorcerer, can't wait to reintroduce it in my game. Warder

D&D 5E (2014) 5th edition Monster Manual: I think the really nice art detracts from the mediocre functionality of the book.

I disagree with the OP on almost everything, I think that the MM is a great book, very functional at what it does which is as a creature catalogue, basically, if you are fine with using stock monsters (like most of the DMs are, and I'm not talking about us nutjobs in the forums) than you don't...

D&D 5E (2014) HoTDQ - Went way better than expected

I love it when players do the unexpected because it fit the game, in our last play of vault of the dracolich one of the players switched sides and joined the dracolich, and chaos ensued! :) Warder

Why do D&D players put such an emphasis on rules and tactics?

They don't, it's only us the vocal minority on the forums who realy care to argue about it. Warder

D&D 5E (2014) Does anyone who got an mm at Gencon want to offer up spoilers to us?

Red Slaad - hit with a claw and infect with a salad egg, save to negate. Blue Slaad - hit with a claws and it will infect you with a disease called chaos phage, turning the target into a Slaad eventually. Green Slaad - shapechanger to small and medium size creature, but statistics remain the...

    D&D 5E (2014) Blingdenstone with PHB

Thats an interesting question, why don't you try to use the BD&D DM guides to check this out,. I don't remember the adventure level, was it for first level characters? Yu might want to change time of the critters to easier one, either that or simply run it for 3rd level characters... Warder
