POLL: Would you play D&D without a Skill System?

I could play D&D either way. I prefer skills, but can do without.

What Kind of D&D Character Would You Be?

    OK, so you got a: CN Halfling Druid 3 / Wizard 3 Stats after modifiers: S 10, D 13, C 15, I 17, W18, Ch 12. Actually, you're a fairly strong character. There's even a PrC that is the Druid/Wizard version of the Mystic Theurge. It's a viable multiclass concept. I'd play that character...

What Kind of D&D Character Would You Be?

In the spirit of Warren...here is me stated up after seeing what the test gave me. This is deliberately un-optimized, imagining how I'd probably adventure given these stats. :) Filthy Ike CR4 Male Human Sorcerer 2 / Wizard 2 (generalist) CG Medium humanoid Init: +0 Languages: Draconic, Common...

    Warlord or Rubber Ducky?

I want my warlord to shout stuff like: "What is your major malfunction, numbnuts? Didn't Mommy and Daddy show you enough attention when you were a child?" and "I am [Warlord] Hartman, your senior drill instructor. From now on you will speak only when spoken to, and the first and last words out...

Mongoose Traveler's Amazing New Initiative System

Well, I imagine that situation would be a lot like when a bad guy opens fires and the hero is forced to dive for cover, cover his head, and wait for the hail of bullets to stop or slow down before returning fire. Kinda like in the movies, at least that's how I see it.

    The Demonomicon of Iggwilv: Graz'zt

Great article, I agree. If this kinda stuff stays, Dragon can still be good in e-format.

    Have We Seen Half-Orcs Yet?

I assume your sea orcs dine on fine ocean vegetables, like sea cucumbers, etc. ;)

Do you like Warforged in your Forgotten Realms?

I voted "Yes! This is a great idea!" only under the assumption that they are not Warforged in the Eberron sense, but a quick set of rules for sentient golems. Like maybe found as companions or servants of powerful wizards.

D&D 4E Why no beginner boxed set for 4E? [Set Confirmed in post 10]

I'll back this. I own a metric ton of books, but the next closest person in our group only has about 2 bookshelves covering d&d through all editons, plus other game systems. The rest of our approx 12 players...borrow books. Don't even own them because they can always look up something at the...
