I imagine this more like the player of V, standing over the player of Elan, looking at his spell list, and telling him what to cast, how to cast, and how to explain it to the DM so that it works. :)
When I play, I'm a one class person. I don't really multi-class.
I don't like too many PrC's, so never plan for them. My plan of
feats may change with time, but I almost always stay with the
same class.

Never get to play as often as I would like.
Only played from 1st to 10th once.
Most fizzle out by 6th or 7th level.
I've never even played high level D&d.

I'm sure others have great suggestions, but I will stress spend a FULL DAY enjoying the Dealer's Hall. That's one of my favorite parts about Gencon. Also, eat at The Ram (http://www.theram.com/in-indianapolis.php). Eat there often. A great place.
Love the Binder...playing a planar-jaunting Wild Elf Binder (level 4) as we speak. I have been the party's lifesaver on more than one occasion when I've pulled a new ability from my but. :)
