Though I truly adore all of the Gaz series... I chose GAZ13 Shadow Elves because it was a new take on elves, and specifically subterranean elves/dark elves. Also, it has what was (I think) the pinnacle of Stephen Fabian's art that makes the Known World come alive to me.

Never gotten past 10th in any edition. No game ever lasts long enough. Did briefly play a level 12 Duergar Fighter in 3.5, but started at 6th level, so that doesn't really count in my opinion. I played a 1E one shot at about 16th level once. But that was a one-shot.

This how I generally envision fantasy games. Though Willow is probably closer to how they all actually get played. ;)

This is my suggestion as well, but people will decry it as the "board game-ification" of D&D. ;) Edit: I'd play a game as one player controlling a group.

Not personally, but my wife's dwarf fighter used to collect heads as trophies. Would shrink them and wear them tied to/impaled on her spiked plate mail. :D

I am in the same camp. The wife will only drink Barnie's flavored coffee, but I prefer regular coffee. I prefer Ethiopian Yrgacheffe for medium roast and Hatian Bleu for light roast (though, if I can SNAG actual 100% Jamaican Blue Mountain, that is the best light roast).
