    D&D 5E (2014) Here's The Most Common D&D Party Composition

Eh. The first three lines in that table have the exact same percentage listed. Which means the difference is in the decimals they're not showing. That's not more common in any significant way. What I find interesting is that in parties of 4 or more there is almost always a rogue (and in more...

D&D 5E (2014) Eberron: Rising from the Last War Coming For D&D In November

Yeah, this is actually the first one where I'm gonna get the alternate cover.

    Dragon Reflections #22

A little odd that the cover has a picture from some kind of LARP, but there seems to be no coverage of such in the magazine...

Sneak Peek At Ghosts of Saltmarsh Maps

I didn't mean that anybody was lying. I just thought you'd used the wrong pictures. But another poster has made a close analysis and says they're very slightly different from the originals, so I'll believe it. That just leaves me very, very disappointed. Dyson is a talented guy, I've paid for...

Sneak Peek At Ghosts of Saltmarsh Maps

Huh. I mean, they even have the artifacts typical of scanning an old copy (some dirt, weak lines, and the like). But if you say so. That's really disappointing, I agree.

Sneak Peek At Ghosts of Saltmarsh Maps

I think you've made a mistake or misunderstood something here. While the town map is new, the rest are not. They're just straight up scans out of a copy of U1.

The New D&D Book Is Called "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" [UPDATED!]

Well, not verbatim at least. The version in the DMG II is set several years after the conclusion of the modules, and is stated to be much larger than it was "back in the day".

The New D&D Book Is Called "Ghosts of Saltmarsh" [UPDATED!]

I'm not sure how I feel about this. If all they do is update the stats, I'll be very disappointed. I actually ran the U series recently, and found that while it had some fairly unique ideas for its time, it is now severely dated. SPOILERS for decades old scenarios ahead... U1 is OK, but a bit...

Beowulf, & Greeks: New 5E Settings Coming From Handiwork Games

Well, if you listen to Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff, you know that Hellenistika is actually Ken's home game of 13th Age. I suppose the publishers feel that porting it to 5e gives them a bigger market. And they're not wrong. But I would personally have preferred to see Ken's original notes...

Oops, my bad. The principle stands, though. ;)

Pathfinder Adventure Path #138: Rise of New Thassilon Arriving in Late January 2019

You haven't seen a lot of Pathfinder AP covers, I guess? The character in the foreground is never part of the scene in the background. That's just the style they've chosen. Usually the foregrounded character is the villain, and other stuff happening is supposed to represent some action scene...

News Digest: White Wolf Dissolved, MORE New D&D Releases Announced, RPG Now Closing (kinda), and mor

Ya missed the most obvious reprint: the tactical map that is front and center in that picture is from Keep on the Shadowfell. I've reused that map for various ambushes many times... ;)

    Breaking Morale

I would be very wary about taking the PCs morale out of the players' hands. Except, of course, if lack of control is built into the game as a feature. Pendragon most obviously comes to mind. For opponents though, I have always made judgement calls for when they flee, based on what types of...

Haunted House that's not really haunted

Looking for any tips or thoughts on the classic Scooby-Doo scenario in a fantasy setting. I.e. someone wants to keep people away from a certain location - let's say a house - and thus spreads the rumour that it's haunted. They also want to set up some kind of physical evidence for said...

I'll look it over, but my first thought is: More people will find the project if you put it in the Tabletop Games category where it belongs.

    A D100 Revolution With Revolution D100

Actually, the BGB is back in print now. Haven't seen it in stores yet, don't know if it'll get there, but the softcover quietly reappeared in the Chaosium webstore.

Hadn't seen that one... Aha, it's because they placed it in the top category of "Games". I only browse the subcategory "Tabletop Games". That's why it didn't show up.

Call of Cthulhu's Sandy Petersen Sues Paypal Over Withheld Funds [UPDATED]

Not really relevant here. Sandy was not involved in the CoC7e KS. As others have noted, it's unclear what this is really about, though. The only computer game I know about that he put up on KS didn't fund, so that can't be it. And his board games have all brought in much higher sums than this...
