Thats pretty impressive. I have a similer story. I went to this summer school program in conneticutt, and my Psych teacher accused me of copying out of a book, because in my "Psychology Reflection Journal" I went on tangents that we didnt cover in class (IE: Bell curves and the "lunatic fringe"...

Total agreement [Edit: With skade's earlier post about both styles] Looking at my classes, i definitly think that my math, science, and computer science classes are pretty much fine as "fast and shallow". But English, French, and AP US History would definitly better as "paced and deep". Well...

My highschool has an advanced program, but because california has some crazy crazy politics, which i only mention in passing, not to start a debate (dont edit this mods), the program is getting some massive cuts. Example: the paper budget ran out. So we have to bring paper from home to write...

The people I game with are caniving, evil, powergaming hellions. I dont trust those guys one bit. Even today, one shot me in the shouler with a pellet pistol (the plastic kind that sting). Stupid www.airsoft.com

That seems to happen a lot at school. We read Brave New World for school, and reading it AS a school book, instead of a real book, basically killed whatever cool scifi-ness it had.

Thats exactly what I think about almost every book I read at school. Tale of Two Cities, The Awakening, Picture of Dorian Grey...

Just a little discussion about The Scarlet Letter, which i think is a bad book, but which.... i think it might have been... Tallarn, though was an excelent work of literature.

Still chastized from that literature beating i got... No hard feelings though! :D
