    Damage Per Round

Nobody said anything about "power" except for you. Nobodies looking at this except as what it is, a limited look at at-will DPR. Interesting and only really helpful to say that if you want to build a pure dpr character, don't make a Warlock. 4e Tactics are multileveled and tend to involve...

Cleric and Paladin - What's the Difference?

No, from a PCs point of view, they're quite different, they do different things. The Paladin does not play the same as the Cleric, this is all they need to exist. It's not like the 4e team was timid in their cow killing. However, sure, from the worlds perspective, the only difference is that...

    How Many Encounters?

Nope. Doesn't matter. My limited experiance says regularly having one encounter a day isn't something you want to do regularly, as it removes the resource management of dailys and healing surges, but otherwise, not really, it doesn't effect class balance anywhere near as much as it used to.

D&D 4E 4e's Inorganic Loot System: Yay or Nay?

This assumes the players are going out of the way to count the items and their levels. Or to put it another way, if the players metagame, they can see the metagame constructs of the world. If this gave them an advantage, if there was a some sort of motivation to do this, it would be bad, but...

    Damage Per Round

Blah, silly me, of course, continue.

    Damage Per Round

May I ask why you're inlcuding these dailys anyway? Since they only show up one encounter a day, they aren't really part of the characters "normal" damage potential.

D&D 4E 4e's Inorganic Loot System: Yay or Nay?

I think you might be missing things. Firstly, you are aware you don't have to give them in order right? The dragon will probably have one level + 5 and one level +1, plus a bunch of cash and maybe some potions, the parcels are just descrete amounts that should be given out over the course of a...

4e Combat Frustrating Instead of Fun?

What you're talking about here is a lowered use in 4e for system mastery, which, I have to say, I'm glad to see go, so I'm going to accept we like different types of games.

4e Combat Frustrating Instead of Fun?

Solo fights falling into drudgery are a known possible problem. I think that even if you decide 4e is not for you, that fights with a mix of normal monsters, minions and Elites don't suffer from this problem. (Or at least suffer from it far less). @StreamOfTheSky: While I sympathise, and agree...

    Forked Thread: Three more days

That's what I get for voting before I read the thread. This is a better suggestion yes.

    Weapon Powers and improvised weapons

The point is that many of the power's stats (such as range, damage, keywords) come from what weapon you're using, you can't chose "no weapon" because then those values would be undefined.

Are hunter's quarry and sneak attack equal?

Anal Retentive Nitpick. Tradition suggests that should be con 13. Ignoring my OCD, that's a good way to do it.

    2h weapon imbalance?

There was a quote from a dev a while ago saying that versatile weapons count as two handed or one handed weapons as appropriate, so you would get the better power attack and the full reaping strike.

    Grading At-Will Powers

Yes, but Commanders Strike just works, and requires no action on the part of the other character, Furious Smash requires you to hit fort and then on their turn the other character has to make an attack to get the bonuses They're actually used in different situations, Commanders Strike is just a...

    Wizard of the Spiral Tower

That's somewhat of an exageration. There's a very vague sentance of which that is the current custserv interpretation. RAIBCS isn't quite the same as RAW.

Don't listen to advice in PHB on class ability scores

Meh, they're decent enough for newbies, I've seen worse. Obviously if you really want to optimize you want to actually look at what the stats give you and listen to people who've played the class, not just read the basic "rangers need dex" stuff in the book.

Response to recent article by James Wyatt on DMG

Why on earth are you applying balancing suggestions from 3 or 4 editiona ago to the current system? In 4e Magic items are balanced by the assumption players get their hands on them of course PCs will eventually get them, that's like saying "be ready DM.. any Wizard spell in the book could be...

    Reviewing the Artificer

I agree that the Artificer could do with some more short rest dailys (considering there really aren't that many), actually having some short rest attack spells would be cool, allthough like Fighters and Reliable, I don't think it should be universal.

    Artificers playtest thoughts

A first level monster has an attack bonus of about 6 against the Artifice's defenses of 5, a 30th level monster has an attack bonus of about 35 against a 30th level Artifice's defense of 34. It may be too low, but it scales perfectly.

July and Beyond Article - Spellscars

This was previously speculated on and expected, yes. Disapointing that you can't multiclass and have a Dragonmark/spellscar though.
