Well in the Bible it talks about that when Satan fell he took 1/3 of the Angels with him. So... that's a bunch. I figure a few aren't as arrogant as he, but were misled and often try to atone for their transgressions against the Heavenly Father, but y'know... can't. :D So...nice write up.

Did someone say Iron Heroes? Conan? These are great examples of low level magic settings. Even Arcana Unearthed from Monte Cook downplays standard dnd magic. Magic is useful, but not wide spread. Not flashy. Useful. Just my two cents

I'd stick with the books you have and take advantage of the free stuff from WotC. They have plenty of low level adventures to help you out. There are plenty of other adventures and tips on these boards as well as the WotC site as well. Take advantage of them. Know the rules but you don't have...

Ok. I need some help with the basic idea of a touch attack that one of my pc's has been attempting to do. He wants to be able to basically jab his thumb(s) in a person's eye socket to blind/damage/irrate them in combat. (he's an oathsworn in the Arcana Unearthed, a sort of monk-like warrior)...

Not knowing if you are using the book or the magazines(I assume the book). There should be a section about scaling your adventure(s). In the Dungeon versions, they all included scaling sections. For instance, I'm running a group of 8 through the first adventure. They are all 4-6 level. And set...

I'm on a limited budget this month. Are both books completely essential for running in this setting? Is one more the Players handbook and the other a GM guide? I was under that impression, but now I'm not so sure. Help.

Thanks Doug. From what I've read so far, its a good lil adventure. Can't wait for more, and here's to hoping the AE's quarterly zine does well too! I contacted my FLGS and they don't even show it being released to the Distributors yet. Oh well, it is Gen Con season, I expect such happenings...

On the cover of the 3.0 book Defenders of the Faith, what is that goat man looking critter? I have no idea. Other than he looks like a GW Beastman. I would love to incorporate a race of them in my current game and if this is a pre-written race, heck, less work for me.(nice run on sentence)...
