Shadows Over Camelot - Sunday morning

So, do we play at Fairfield Inn (where I'm staying) which is conveniently 2 blocks from the picnic? Or do we meet at the picnic site and play there? Arkham takes a bit longer than Shadows and I wanted to get to the picnic by noon.

Shadows Over Camelot - Sunday morning

I think my son borrowed my Shadows Over Camelot game. I didn't bring it with me. I have Arkham Horror, as a good substitute. Alternatively Dominion, Puerto Rico (limit of 5 players), Succession (limit of 5), and Game of Thrones (hard core strategy; limit 6).

My Nomination for Unfortunate Book Title of the Year goes to....

Dude, we fought a taint lasher last night. There was no end of laughing at that one. I'm still waiting to see what it's encounter power is. <Beavis>Heh, heh, it's gonna lash your taint. Heh. Heh.</Beavis>

    Are gamers chronic loners

My group includes 3 married males, 1 married female (my wife), 1 minor (my son), 1 single adult male. So, 4/6 married; or 4/5 adults married; or 3/4 adult males married. Anyway you slice it we're not loners.

    Running a Lurker in combat

Attack from beyond charge range; that avoids the melee guys. Attack from a place with full cover and/or concealment from some or all of the party. By the rules, I don't think so, but if the critter is an obvious "hidey" guy then I might do it. The monster cannot get cover from the PCs; allies...

Wed Afternoon - Boardgames - Various

I'm staying in the new Fairfield Inn which is on the NW corner from the convention center and across the street from the Marriott. I'm willing to walk elsewhere, but I gotta know what game to bring. :)

    Gaming in the basement

Thus the lack of basements in the South generally, and near the coast particularly.

    Gaming in the basement

I've lived in Texas for most of my life; we don't have basements here. When I lived in KC there were a couple of guys with whom I gamed that had finished basements in their homes, and we played in them occassionally.

A Game of Thrones - Saturday afternoon

We need at least one more player to make this game happen; if we don't have five people willing to play as of Tuesday before GenCon I'm going to cancel this and find something else to do.

Shadows Over Camelot - Sunday morning

We will attend the picnic. We can bring the game, but it's not a good outside game; too many card decks that wind will play havoc with. I'll do a weather check before we head over, and if it's ok then I'll bring the game.

    D&D 4E Cannons in 4e?

Oh, sorry. That's the lava rules. I'm unaware of any cannon rules. Suggestion: make the cannon a "power" that can activate when two or more characters cooperate to perform their standard action: fire cannon; maybe it takes a combined four (or six) standard actions to "fire cannon". Make the...

    Pimp My (political) Skill Challenge

We've been playing for about ten months, hit and miss, but averaging two sessions a month. We "plan" to play every week, but stuff happens. They hit level 8 last game after about 20 - 22 sessions. Slightly over one game year has passed in this time. I use the "level up when it feels right"...

    Pimp My (political) Skill Challenge

Dwarf Politics in a Nutshell: the Dwarfs of Stonehome have a six member council. Each position serves twelve years and there is an election for one of the positions every 2 years. One of the six positions is King. King gets two votes and a ton of other "rights and privileges" that are not...
