WotC Is Hiring A New D&D Game Designer

I'm surprised they just didn't give it to someone known and trusted in the industry. It is a small industry and that job requires experience.

What are you reading? Nov 2017

I'm 100 pages into the first book of the Expense, Leviathan Wakes. I'm not wowed. I can see a ressemblances with Kevin J. Anderson. At least in the structure. The prose is better.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

It could be all or partly a misdiretion, but the trend lately has been to very spoilery trailers. I'm not peticularly bothered by, more perplexed at the marketing strategy behind it. That being said, having seen Blade Runner 2049 last night, the twist in it was rather savory has it played on a...

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

If Rey needs someone to show her the way or something, that means Luke is dead and not a force ghost yet. Kylo kills mum. Rey meets Snoke. Kylo and Rey join force. Luke dies. That was some impressive spoilage for the most awaited film of the year.

What are you reading - Sep 2017

I know the English version is around 200 pages shorter than the French one. It might be the case. I'm reading Debt: the first 5,000 years. It certainly is readable and focuses a lot on history.

Starfinder Starfinder's Sutter Leaves Paizo; Butler Joins (In A Different Role)

Yeah, that was obvious for some time. They still could give a gib bonus or royalties to lead designers on core books. Time are a changin'.

Starfinder Starfinder's Sutter Leaves Paizo; Butler Joins (In A Different Role)

Do lead developpers on special project like Starfinder get more money and thus can leave and work on something else? Monte Cook left WotC not long after 3.0 was released and I think some of the guys who came up with 4e.

WotC's Chris Perkins Describes Tomb of Annihilation

I have trouble with gods just letting Acererak drain their resurrection energy without doing nothing. Especially if it affects people resurrected before Acererak did this. Chult should be crawling with clerics and paladins.

What are you reading? (August 2017)

Finished Too like the Lightning. It was very well writen, Palmer is brilliant and she created a rich world. The only disppointment was how little she had to say about censorphip of religion and genders in the future she created. I've starte Debt: The First 5,000 years. It is on debt as an...

What are you reading? (August 2017)

Too like the lightning by Ada Palmer is a very demanding read, but it is very rewarding. I'm not finished yet, but I highly recommend it just for the world building.

What are you reading? (August 2017)

I prefere plot details and explanations to emotions, character driven stories or fast paced action in my sci-fi novels. I read them for the thought experiments, not bevause I want to know how it feels to be alone in space. I believe this is why like authors like Arthur C. Clarke.
