Tsunami and Reapersuarus, will your games be 3.0 or 3.5?

[3.5] Perform -- Does it annoy you as well?

Has anyone arguing for the 3.5 change actually found the 3.0 version of perform to be game breaking? At 20th level a cleric can call down the wrath of his god to squash his foes on a lucky roll. A 20th level wizard in 3.0 could timestop then blow everything in sight straight to the Abyss...

August 2nd Northern California Game Day- Memories on Page 3

It might be a good idea for those of us in Game 1 to brainstorm for basic character concepts, just so we don't end up with 5 wizards or something ridiculous like that. I'm thinking that 1 cleric, 1 rogue, 2 fighter types, and anything for the 5th party member sounds good.

Tsunami: Should we make our own characters for your game, or will you provide them? If we do make our own, what books will you allow? Reapersaurus: Could you please repost the rules for your contest in here?

August 2nd Northern California Game Day- Memories on Page 3

If 2 games are going to be in the afternoon, and in the 2 afternoon, then shouldn't we sign up for one of each? If we are only signing up for one game though, I'll play in game 1.

Pirates of Caribbean logic question MAJOR SPOILER

What I didn't understand was how their ship was able to go toe-to-toe with the Plack Pearl. They were essentially just firing shrapnel, while the Pearl was shooting cannonballs. Other than that, I liked it.

D&D 3.x Offical 3.5 character sheet - Now available for download!

Is there really much of a difference between the 3.0 character sheets and the 3.5 ons?

For the actual games, are we going to use pre-generated characters, or will we be making our own? If we are making our own it would a good idea to have them ready beforehand. Character creation can take a while.

Are we having 4 tables for both sessions, or the first 2 for the first session and the last two for the second?

Late breakfast is definitely a good thing. That means I won't have to leave my house until 7.

I can ask my group if any of them want to come. I don't know if any of them will want to DM though.

Since I've never DMd before, I'd just be a player. (bump)

    Scourge of Worlds

We went all way through the official version once last night. Overall, it was very cool. However, at times, the melee combat just looks REALLY stupid.

D&D 3.x [3.5] Is every Magic Change Downward?

With damage and save or die spells both toned down (nerfed), I would like to see summoning made more powerful (ala Magic: The Gathering or Final Fantasy).

I live in Fremont (near SF and San Jose). I'll be free from June 18 through the end of August.

[M&M] Stacking Rules Make No Sense

Thank you all, now I understand. That section of the book had me thinking that the maximum adjustment to a die roll was your level, regardless of what you had that contributed to the final result.
